And trying to sneak into the CFP in early December. Everyone calm down. No it's not the expectation to be on the bubble. The only fault I have with Dabo (other than his lack of portal use) is that after JS, TE and BV left he completely shat the bed with the replacements. But he's proven he will fix it by hiring Riley and Luke. If we do, in fact, miss the 12 team playoff I think you'll see Clemson can Wes at season's end and go after a legit defensive system. With what we have returning 2025 is shaping up to be big a year if that happens.

What I took from this:

We'll probably lose to South Carolina. Possibly Pitt as well. THEN and ONLY THEN will the Clemson homers join in the calls for Swinney to either overhaul the left-over sh*t coaches, or resign himself.
This fan base is more worried about being embarrassed in a nationally televised playoff than getting to one - just to let the world see Swinney's coaching-hires take a dump on the field.

I'm not convinced with a 10-2 finish. A 3-game winning streak would have to happen. This game at Blacksburg happenned because the entire coaching staff was being pressured, and their backs were against the wall. Desperation set in. Notice that Va Tech lead by 7-0 at haftime. Where was the offense? Nothing
happened until the DEEP ball was thrown. I didn't watch this game because I was fed up this dire situation, and I'm still not trusting Clemson's offense. Forget the defense: Wes Goodwin should'nt be a defensive coordinator at any Power 5 school. That's a given, and as Mike Norevell fired BOTH his coordinators, Dabo better do the same, or he's gone in a year. 10-2 and NO playoff? Who cares? Anything in my mind short of a playoff berth is a failed season, and 4 consecutive misses at the CFB, even with 12 teams in it. So stop getting so giddy over ONE victory, for it means nothing. Beat PITT, Citadel, and
The Gamecocks, then win the ACC Championship, then we can talk. Anything short of this dooms Clemson as a average program. True playoff teams always go the playoffs. Pretenders get NO respect. I won't be watching the PITT game. I am sick of the "middle of the road" mediocrity and the Band Aids that coach Swinney applies when his back is against wall. ENOUGH! Get the playoffs or pack your bags! Miami gave them a break by losing, but watch Clemson find a way to blow this opportunity.

The only problem that I have with you is that you expect us to care what you think when you think the portal is the fix for anything!
Yes At some point it maybe used but the portal is the ruin of college football!
Heck the attitude of the portal is the ruin of society as a whole!
And as far as whether Dabo messed up or not.
Check Clemson’s record over the last 5 years and compare it to anybody in Football and see where He stacks up.
Compare His overall record and see where He stacks up.
He is at the top of either list!

South Carolina is getting the most out of the talent hey have. They don't have the overall talent Clemson has, but playing inspired football. At least their DC is light years ahead of Goodwin, and they've become one of the more dangerous teams in the SEC. Clemson should beat USC, but will they? They should have beaten Louisville at home, but didn't. There is too much of a lack of confidence with the players. This is coaching. Who in the world is Clemson's Special Teams coach? He can't coach a lick. No team in the United States has a worse FG/Extra point team than Clemson. Can his rear end! It seems like anyone with half-a- brain can outcoach Dabo. The heat needs to stay on Swinney until he gets a CFP berth. Anything else is unexceptible!

#2 Special Teams cost us 1 Natty on our first trip to the CFP vs Bama and our last ST's coach is the world's foremost expert on Transfer Portal personnel and is by all accounts the hardest working man in CFB

Thankfully we have recruited well enough to be significantly more talented than most of the teams we play. That has helped us overcome the coaching deficiencies we have.
I’ll be shocked if we finish 10-2. That would be great though!
