We were the only underdog that showed up in round one.

We acquitted ourselves well. We were supposed to get blown out yet could or should have won the game.

The offense played its heart out. Mafah gave all he had left and actually ran hard until he couldn’t anymore. Cade made throws all day. When he missed it was because he had pressure so fast he was running for his life.

The defense was egregious. I’d like to see Phil Parker from Iowa poached. He won the Broyles award in 2023. Dabo can keep his beloved Wes as an analyst.

I am just a little bit thankful we had the only game worth watching in round one. We proved we belong!

Not to put too fine a point on us, we did show great grit and determination in coming back in the 2nd half, but Texas covered the spread and the end result was totally in line with consensus pre-game expectations.

but we were in a deep hole soon after our first drive. We were out manned and out talented by Texas.

Dabo needs to get better players utilizing ALL resources available and some better asst coaches to return us to elite.

9-3/10-2 was my preseason prediction prior to the season b/c of the atrocious league we play in.

We were 1-4 vs teams with a pulse (and that ONE is a question mark after yesterday)..................AND 0-3 vs SEC.........AND.......most importantly 0-1 vs SOUTH CAROLINA.

Dabo got us in this mess..............He needs to FIX IT!!

The last 10 win season was 20 years before Dabo took over. Saying we're ima mess is pretty stupid

Yeah. Improvements can be made, but I can imagine multiple teams would love to have a 10 win "mess" every year.

they're being paid far too much to just get to 10-wins..............something we've fallen back on over the last 4-5 years to justify and ignore the problems w/ the program NOT BEING ELITE.

Mafah had 4 touches. If that’s “gave all he had” after two weeks of rest, he should have been shut down 2 months ago.

Rest doesn't heal a shoulder that needs surgery. He gave us all he had which wasn't much given the severity of his injury. Blame the coaches for continuing to push a RB out there with a bad wing. I agree they should have shut him down sooner, but I give him credit for trying to do everything asked of him no matter how much it hurt.

…and he didn’t run hard. He ran out of bounds for 2 yards on the first play of the game. And got pushed out of bounds from behind, with a full head of steam, on a big 3rd down. Came up 1 yard short when all he had to do was lean forward or reach the ball out.

I love Mafah. But he was a liability the second half of the season, including yesterday.

I have no idea why the coaches could not see what the rest of the world has been seeing for weeks. Mafah looked like if he did not reach the sidelines before being touched, he was going to miss the bus home.

We Clemson

We shouldn’t resort to moral victories

The standard is winning titles not only losing by 14

I totally agree with you on Parker. I poasted last night that we should go after him and pay him whatever it takes.

crossroads now. It is VERY imperative that we keep our guys in the fold. If CK2 bolts for the NFL, I fear we see mass defections via the Transfer Portal. And it THAT happens, Dabo may just have a Saban moment, and say "Screw this, time to retire and enjoy life." Now, that would make some on here happy, but not me. I remember all too well the bad years.

NOW we've got to backtrack to get to the ELITE path again.

Maybe Dabo's on the way w/ opening his mind about the portal.........time will tell. Yet another year has gone by and finished with Dabo having to take a hard look in the mirror regarding his program/staff/players/etc........hopefully he makes the right calls. Had he listened to me a several others on this board over the last 3-4 years ago our downfall wouldn't have been this drastic and mostly preventable.
