Oh, this is Goodwin’s fault? Not our trash offense that disappears for half the game? Ok.

Agree. This loss is on a bunch of folks. Including Dabo.
But Wes has no business being in the role he’s in today.

Ultimately Clemson lost because we had no scheme to stop their running QB. Godwin hasn’t shown any development in schematic planning and make $2 mil

This is exactly what I was telling a couple of my buddies. You knew this quarterback was going to be running, and you had no plan. Inexcusable. The formula to beat South Carolina was stop the run and keep sellers in the pocket. We did neither

The two aren’t mutually exclusive. In case you missed the TD run Sellers had in 3rd and 16. I guess you also didn’t see all of the p1ss poor tackling that happened the entire game(really all season).

he doesn’t fit the “friends and family” narrative they’ve built in their heads. Defense did more than enough to win and the offense was pathetic but no matter how a game goes it’s always fire Wes.

Only problem is statistically, our offense is top 10 in both total yards and scoring. I’m not defending the fact they only scored 14. part of that deficiency is because we can’t kick a field goal. We could’ve easily had 20 points and enough to win the game if we had a dang field goal kicker. That’s on Dabo 100%.

Has Hauser missed a field goal that wasn't blocked this year? He was the #1 rated kicker in Highschool

I personally think it’s both sides of the ball. We have very good players!! But the toughness is missing from the defensive coaching staff (miss BV badly here) and the OC doesn’t have the nads (or possibly the permission??) to keep his FOOT ON THE GAS!!!!! We need the killer attitude that we’ve had before. Physicality on both sides…. But the ability is there to beat almost anyone…. Coaching on both sides!!!!!

Offense played good enough to win the game. The best defense we played besides Ga and thought overall we were able to move the ball. Got to get points, but it was not like we were going 3 and out every series.
If you don’t think the lack in ability to get the QB on the ground was the difference in that game you must have been watching something else.

Do you people actually read what you write before hitting “submit”? The defense gave them the ball 4 times inside the 40 and they didn’t do a dammn thing with it.
Defense needs some help but this loss is on the offense.

My opinion is we just did not play complimentary football offense and defense especially at crucial times of the game. Yes the defense only allowed 17 pts but at the most crucial times they let Sellars extend drives and then when the defense did get a turnover or stop our offense stumped their toe again in crucial moments of the game. So it was both not to mention coaching as well.

Wes wasGoodwin never had any business being a defensive coordinator at Clemson University. He needs to be dismissed today. And find somebody who knows what they’re doing.

Goodwin has not been great but today's loss is on the offense. Riley hasn't been successful against any defense with a pulse.

I couldn't agree more. Goodwin should never have been given the keys to the Defense, but in addition, Riley needs to go as well. Time for a complete overhaul.

which I liked. The scheme was good, we were disruptive in the backfield and the secondary played well, more positives. Tackling was not great though, and we didn’t do a great job of breaking down when the QB would scramble. Not sure why Sammy came out late, he seemed to be a bright spot.
The hiring/firing I leave to Dabo.

Sammy Brown SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE FIELD on SCAR's last drive to spy Sellers.
He was on the sidelines.
Everyone knew Sellers would be running except Pork Chop.
Case closed.

but that TD run was not a called run if memory serves. Another good job by the D to stifle the SCU offense, only to have their QB make a play. A spy may have worked, but that also means one less guy in the secondary on a play they needed big yards. Don’t know the routs SCU ran, so maybe they felt they had a better chance of stopping the QB scrambling than being undermanned in the backfield. Hard to know why they did what they did, but it didn’t work out for sure.

This was exactly my point to my crowd during the game. Pork chop had one job to do, and that was the stop sellers run game. And that’s the one thing he failed to do. If you stop South Carolina’s QB run, you stop them.

Agressive or wreckless? We knew he was a mobile threat coming in. DEs consistently lost containment, lack of use of a spy and the #### poor tackling fundamentals that plagued us all season cost us again. The offensive was pathetic to be sure, but the defense continues to decline statistically and visually under Goodwin. When will you stop apologizing for the mediocrity of Goodwin and the rest of Dabos terrible hires? When we go 6-6? 3-9? Or will we have to have a winless season for you pumpers to wake up?

The schemes had the players in position to make plays. They just failed. Look at all of the missed sacks and tackles for loss that resulted in big plays.

You sound like Brian Kelly throwing all the players under the bus because they can’t execute instead of blaming the incompetent buffoons we have coaching them and failing to address their poor tackling form and bad decision making. If it’s one or two players or one or two events fine that’s the players, but if it’s an epidemic across the team and season that’s on the coaches. We’re having early season issues during “championship” phase football. It’s totally inexcusable and heads need to roll
