No they wouldn't. Florida State didn't become "Florida State" until the 80s. Really the late '80s.

Florida State joined the ACC in 1992 for football. They have more ACC titles in that timeframe than Clemson. So overall, yeah Clemson is the leader, but since they joined the conference, FSU has been the big dog.

The problem is Florida State wasn't playing at that level back in the 50s 60s or 70s and not for all of the '80s.

I would encourage you to look up FSU’s overall ranking starting in the late 70s. They were very good then too

I have looked at it and they have a couple of good years but they weren't dominant like they became later on. Clemson was pretty good in the late 70s too.

Considering their schedule strength in the pre ACC era, when they would play anyone anywhere, it’s not really close imo. And I hate fsu as much as the coots living here

Their street the schedule wasn't as great as you think it is. They played a lot of the other independents, which would include the likes of Southern Miss, Boston College etc.

Cool graphics except for that stain in 1969.
I count 22 Tiger Paws on there. So 22 Clemson ACC Championships / 72 total years = 30.55% of all ACC football championships belong to Clemson.
