ACC not helping us in NET ranking - we have the lowest number of Q1 games

of any team in the Top 30. From the rankings, we'd be better off with a couple of more losses as long as they were Q1. And wonder we'd we be if we had beat GT.

yes the ACC is killing us, still projected only 25th in AP poll. The tech loss hurt us, and the lack of quad 1 games left will prevent us from being highly ranked and getting a really high seed.

Don't we rest the team through the ACCT so that we can be fresh for the NCAAT?

We only have one more Quad 1 game on the schedule...

and that's at SMU next Saturday.
GT was a BAD Quad 3 loss and, fortunately, the only Quad 3 loss.
The South Carolina game is really the only other bad loss up to this point, but at least that's still a Quad 2 loss. With 8 games remaining, I'm not sure the Cawks win more than one of those. Hopefully that one does fall to a Quad 3 loss. I think their current NET ranking in the 90 range.

The South Carolina loss will not drop to quad 3. They have stuck at ~90 in the NET for weeks, despite losing every game. They will not drop 45 more spots.

We're sitting at NET #30 and have 7 regular season games left
UNC (46, quad 2) at FSU (87, quad 2 due to away game) at SMU (40, quad 1 due to away game) ND (97, quad 3) at UVA (105, quad 2 due to away game) at BC (222, quad 3 due to away game) Va Tech (153, quad 3)
On paper we should be favored against all of these except Duke, and losing to UNC or SMU would not be "bad losses". But dropping any of those last 4 games would be a huge black eye and cost NCAAT seeding big time (with @ Virginia being the least harmful).
Let's hope the pattern of "get ranked, then lose to a bad team" does NOT hold sway for the rest of the year.

Also have more Q3 losses (1) than any team in the Top 30 except Baylor (1) who is 3 spots ahead of us due to about twice as many Q1 games and Q1 wins.
