We need FSU to beat UGAy

Not just because it's UGAy but just to throw more gasoline on the fire to keep the puddin' stirred. Then let's break out the Jiffy Pop and see the ACC's response as they defend FSU and the "travesty".

Pre-CFP era it may have meant something.
Now, this game doesn't mean a dadgum thing. Even if FSU won, it'd be "UGA DIDNT WANNA BE THERE"

Don’t hold you breath on this one. I expect FSU to be thoroughly embarrassed. With all the NIL they spent this year, a quality BU QB looks like it would have been a good investment.

FSU is going to get embarrassed and prove to the whole world that the committee was right.

FSU is going to get embarrassed and prove to the whole world that the committee was right.
With so many opt-outs on both sides, this game isn't even close to being a "committee proven wrong or right" game.
Simply put, it's Lose-Lose for both teams.
FSU wins - UGA didn't wanna be there, they got lucky, a full strength UGA would never lose, UGA played their B-team backups, etc
UGA wins - SEC just means more, FSU was a legit top 5 team and UGA shows why they deserved to be in the CFP, ACC should be downgraded to G5 status, etc.

Who are Georgia’s opt outs?

It won’t be close.
Love that F St had the courage and boldness to start the process of leaving the ACC and they should be applauded for that move but still believe F St should have been left out of the playoff. Alabama would destroy them as well.

ACC does not need to defend fsu and the travesty.
There was no travesty.
Committee made correct decision.
FSU gonna get throttled by 28.

Of course the ACC would need to. It's a part of the responsibilities of the ACC to promote the conference including its members. Failure to do so would be just another bullet point for FSU to claim the the ACC failed in their obligations. The ACC is there, in part, to promote the league's standing.

I think UGA may have more to prove than FSU. After all, they think they were really the ones who got screwed and want to prove that point.

No thanks. FSU fans have become as insufferable (minus Bret) as they were during the Jameis days. I've never pulled for UGA in my life. I'm thinking about it now.

If Georgia shows up ready to play, that game could get Syracuse kind of ugly.

But, I doubt EITHER team puts forth maximum effort. This kind of reminds me of all the Hue and Cry about US missing the NCAA Tourney last year, only to see us lay a cracked egg against Morehead State in the NIT. If FSU gets routed, it just validates the Committees decision, and INvalidates the fine season FSU had.
The only way FSU salvages ANYTHING is by not only winning, but winning convincingly. Frankly, and Francinely, I don't think they have it in them to thump Georgia.

I don’t know about 35 but UGA is showing up. Other than transfers I don’t know of a single layout. Bowers may be the exception based on injury. The players are stepping up.
