I am now calling out Dabo & Co to start #14 against App State.
I don’t care if he is only 5’11”. He is a baller ! Grayson McCall is short, S. Bennett is short. Look what they’ve done.
PLAY THE BEST MAN ON THE FIELD, DABO

And watch Klubnik and Vizzina hit the portal.
And don't get me wrong--I wouldn't be sad to see Klubnik go---but we'd be in desperate shape at QB because we all know Dabo won't use the portal to fill roster gaps.

I personally don't think Cade is necessarily the problem. I do think his mental state is very wrong, but blame our coaches more than him. That said, this is a #### poor excuse. Trent might be the best QB, but we don't play him because the losing QBs would be sad and would hit the portal? You play the best player available. Period.

If Dabo actually used the portal I'd say yes---play Vizzina or Pearman. But since he won't, I think it's a bad move. THAT is what's sad about it---Dabo's stubborn refusal to use the portal when it's necessary.
You either adapt to the new reality of CFB, or you die. It's that simple. What we're witnessing now is a death spiral.

Did you see Cam Ward at Miami. They will win the ACC and more.

I will believe Miami can win something when they actually win something. Their coach finds new and innovative ways to wiz done his leg at least twice a season. Let not forget the dude could not win the Pac 12 with Justin Herbert and a supporting cast of other NFL players.

If he leaves, then don't let the door hit him in the ### on the way out. You play the best person. Period. You don't start a loser because you're afraid he'll take his ball and go hoke. This post tells me all I need to know about you as a person.

The next portal window doesn't open until 12/9 so no one is going anywhere before then. If they leave, Dabo would have no choice but to sign a transfer or two to fill his room so that would not be all bad anyway.

The worry for Klubnik is he might go out immediately and save this year as a red shirt year. Vizzina has used his red shirt year. If Pearman is better we need to let him start, and if Cade leaves, say good bye to him.

Somehow I don’t think him sitting the year out would make him very attractive to other good programs but I get your point.

"and watch Klubnik and Vizzina hit the portal"

Are you threatening us with two open scholarship spots?
Are you threatening us with two five-star busts that couldn't get the job done?
Are you threatening us with possibly attracting a decent transfer portal QB?
I'd rather see us start whatever freshman on day 1 of 2025 if it means not seeing anymore of what we've seen for the last three seasons.

The spring game is just a family day with a glorified scrimmage and coaches learn nothing from it.

Spoiler alert since you have seen the past 3 years. We're already losing. No one is saying he should be guaranteed the job. But he has outplayed Cade when we saw him and deserves a chance.

Heck what a great idea. Dabo's a bit slow. Pearman is too confident and makes Cade nervous.

Things were a lot different then. No portal, transfers sat out a year and coaches pretty much had to approve where you could go.
