times on a fake clap as they were peeking in the backfield. Combine that with a clap count and it can be very effective.

The QB is too far away from the center for them to hear each other, so he has to clap. It is easier to distinguish from other sounds. Now on the other hand, if he were to line up under center....... Sorry, I had to go with the same thing that everyone else has been talking about.

Cam Newton does this as a Carolina Panther. Maybe he picked it up from him at one of his camps? Probably his best option considering how "soft spoken" the coaches say he is.
