Still feeling effects of Brent Venables departure

4 juniors/starters who once upon a time decommitted:

Jihaad Campbell- Bama, starting LB
Daylen Everette- UGA, starting CB
Keon Sabb- now at Bama, starting S
Jaren Kanak- Oklahoma, starting LB

That sorta sudden turnover definitely has multi-year effects on a program...

You probably have a very small brain and a very limited vocabulary so you are forgiven. The OP is a Clemson fan, moron. This is the most annoying thing about this site. If anyone has anything to say that’s not sunshine pumping info or opinion, they get called a “coot”. So stupid.

Yet our D was top 10 last season and will more than likely be top 15 again this season. Do tell me again how those losses have been major losses for us again?

Our defense has been very good. If these guys had come to Clemson it may have been even better. As much as I hate “what ifs”, this really isn’t a hard concept to grasp - even if it is a just a big “what if”.

wasn't Brent Venables' defense top 2 multiple times

top 10 isn't the same as 1 or 2

without those guys transferring Clemson would have been top that elite

3 of those kids were waffling before BV left, and there's a reason we no longer recruit kids from the school that those 3 players came from.

Thats quite the generalization our coaching staff is making

although I suppose it isn’t too surprising since they also make generalizations about players in the transfer portal as well.

Watching JK post at this point is like watching one of your favorite TV series go on for one or two seasons too long.

You still appreciate the effort, but there's a level of disappointment that starts the creep in. Take this opportunity to revisit some old hobbies brah.

So are you saying that some ink users know more about what we need to build a championship team than Dabo and our coaching staff does. IMO, they don't know enough about talent to build a JV championship team...

I think it had as much to do about $$$. Something was definitely odd about all of them leaving, and I don't think it had as much to do about BV as it seemed.

He was probably the best DC of all time. Not surprised at all the defense took a step back. They will be top 10 this year.

Stability wise in the beginning true. The learning curb for Wes is done now and it shows. He will shine this year imo.
Couple of things though, what was Oklahomas defensive ranking last year?
Wes was the main guy Venables wanted to pooch off of our staff, why?
