Talked To A "Basketball Guy" Today About Colleges ...

chit, chat ... how the kids? Where going to school, yada ...

Started talking about sports, statement made (him) ... "you all need a new arena ... to attract recruits ... " a comment from an observer from the outside ....

Again, recruits are impressed with
Shiny arenas
Pretty Women's
Food

Add to this the promise that they could start on day one, we should be able to recruit (if all the above was true (we got womens, arena is not shiny, good food?))

Duke has had no issues with their slightly modified basketball cathedral that was built in the 1940's. Kentucky's Rupp Arena is one of the most emotionless places in college basketball and is attached to a mall. Littlejohn is a great arena when the team and competition are at the levels they need to be.

Those places can't be considered. They have great history. Also I'm sure their locker rooms, practice facilities, weight rooms, training tables, etc. etc. etc. dominate whatever we supply for the basketball teams.

Just take a look at UK locker room and you will get the idea.
