So now its official, we have Florida coming to DKS this weekend. The Gators were 1 of the last teams to make it into tourney, but seem to found their groove in Stillwater w/ beating 2 P5 champs (Nebraska & Ok State).
Obviously, expect the crowd to be fired up. That said, think Florida is 1 of those teams best suited for the environment. Definitely hope the good fielding & pitching from our guys in regional carries over to Supers.

Should be an amazing super regional. Florida fans typically travel well. I think attendance record will be shattered on Saturday.

Pitching rotation & if we stick w/ same we did in regional. Told him I think we pitch Smith Gm 1 & how we use Knaak/Darden as SP is played by ear depending on that rest. My belief being we save Knaak for a must-win situation, plus we got Barlow available for relief & didn't burn thru arms in our regional. He told me they got a guy (forgot his name) that's their version of what Caden Gricr was for us last year (their best SP & best bat) & we can't let him beat us.
Gonna be interesting for sure.

Jac Caglianone is his name he’s hit 30+ HRs back to back years so his bat may be a little better than grice but he’s nut quite as good a pitcher. OK State hit 4 HRs off him Saturday I believe

Do not fooled by Florida's record, they are good. Florida played 13 teams that made the tournament including series with the #1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 national seeds. We are playing well and so is Florida so there should be good baseball at DKS this weekend. Make us proud again Tigers.

Early in year, they played great during weekend & struggled in midweek, then things shifted as year went on. Ended regular season on high note beating UGA, and whether you agree about their inclusion, they got a chance & have made most of it.
One thing does seem like is they give up plenty of runs in good bit of their losses. So hopefully we can get the bats going quicker this weekend. As said, just hope we get the same level of play the team had w/ fielding/pitching this past weekend.

I enjoyed this passed weekend at DKS. This weekend I’m visiting my new granddaughter. My son in law is a gator. Looking for a good time. Go Tigers grill the gators!

One positive for those unable to attend in person, playing an SEC team probably means games are more likely to be on TV rather than ESPN+.

Well, playing any big name program helps vs. playing High Point and Coastal. Plus, fewer games happening at the same time in the Supers will help our chances of being on a linear channel.

It seems like we never play these guys in anything. Anyone know when and what the result was the last time we played them in baseball, football, soccer, basketball? Any other sports?
Was able to track down the following:
Football = loss in 1961 in Gainesville (looks like most games were in Gainesville and Jacksonville)
Basketball = loss in 2017 (before 2017, prior matchup was 1957 and last time they came to Clemson was 1934)
Florida doesn't field a soccer team
And wasn't able to pin down the last matchup in baseball though the overall series is Clemson 12 and Florida 18.

that he thinks Clemson will win the CWS this year. I told him that I liked his optimism. I told him I think Clemson will be making CWS appearances soon, but I didn't believe we have the pitching staff yet.
