Was Chapel Hill really loud? Heard that excuse several times

on tv. My gosh their stadium is down to 50,000 and endzone didn't even look full. Wine and Cheese crowd too that golf claps even at the Dean Dome.

a bit loud, but not anything close to what I have heard in DV. I don't think the noise caused the false starts as much as the movement on the DL.

Or . . . Our lack of focus and concentration?!!!
Cake walks gone south get hard to refocus one's attention . . . We struggled from the opening kickoff . . .
The noise level was not an issue . . . If it was . . . Bad on us!!!!!!!
On a funny note . . . On the 2-Point Conversion attempt . . . You can see their RG or RT signaling the crowd to get quiet . . . They were in a crossfire of Tiger voices at that end of the stadium!!! We held our ground and increased the volume!!!

The pipe in noise until snap was loud.Fans noise was so so at best .My seats were section 229 UNC side.Heels defense front would shift before the snap.

I thought it got loud a few times during the game but members here have said it wasn't where they were (including near the student section) I remember thinking those bell noises they played through the speakers between snaps were loud too and I am now convinced they were playing crowd noise over their speaker system. I had to be near one of those said speakers for me to have thought it was loud and others not so much. I am hard of hearing and can't think of any other way it would've been loud to me and the group I was with and not everyone else. My guess is the others here that thought it got loud a few times were near speakers too. I was perplexed during the game how it seemed so loud for how many empty seats I saw.

The noise had almost nothing to do with the false starts. The movement on the defensive side of the ball had everything to do with it. Just wasnt focused enough going into the game, pretty much sums up our play all day. Hey, still wasnt enough for the holes to win though

While the D movement certainly had an impact, I'm betting the UNC DL was barking out some signals at the line. The False starts all happened around the same time in the second half.
