That we will have to make it to the ACCCG and win it because there will likely be only one school from the ACC in the playoffs so they can squeeze in more SEC & BIG TEN schools. Doesn't seem fair to me. Every conference should have equal representation.

There are a bunch of overvalued Sec teams. Mizzou, Ole Miss and Oklahoma to name three.
Texas, UGA and Bama are close to shoe-ins. Of course there’s still time for Texas to do a Texas.

Ole Miss is not over valued this year. They own 11 games last year, returned everyone, and added elite players. I’ve got them going to the natty.

We used up all our front-end credit by not being ready to play again in game one. We need to run the table and win the ACCCG. Period.

at 11-1 we are easily sitting top 5 going into Charlotte. No way Miami beating us drops us 8 spots unless we get absolutely embarrassed 2011 WV style. I do not see that happening in any universe.

########. If Clemson loses 2 games and doesn’t win the ACC the chances of them getting in are slim to none. ACC Champ, Big ten champ, SEC champ, Big 12 champ, and a group of 5. That leaves 7 spots. Go look at the top 12 right now and tell me how many ACC teams you see. They have USC ranked above us. Who has USC beaten?

He’s right. Dabo needs to stop scheduling cupcakes. There are enough of those in the acc. Clem should play Ohio St, USC, Oregon, Bama, Ole Miss, LSU, Bama, Tenn, Tx, UGA etc (at least two of these teams annually). Then Clem could be on the same schedule level as those teams and lose once or twice and still get in the playoffs.

Dabo has zero to to with scheduling. So that’s your first stupid comment. Secondly, Clemson is playing 2 SEC games this year. Thirdly, every single P4 school schedules 2 cupcakes a year. Fourthly, App State usually doesn’t suck this badly. They have beaten Texas a+m and SC in the very recent past, 2 big bad SEC teams.

Imo, each of the 5 should have been represented but I'm glad we have one sure seed and delighted it's a seed with a bye.
The goal was to place the 7 best teams seeds after the automatic bids. One more stipulation would destroy that goal.

It's definitely possible for Clemson to get in, but just looking at the landscape of this season... it doesn't seem likely unless something crazy were to happen.
The issue seems to be that there's 5 really legit looking SEC teams (Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Tennessee) none of which should finish worse than 9-3. And 3, maybe 4 really legit looking Big 10 teams (Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon, and USC) that shouldn't finish worse than 9-3. That means those 9 get in, plus Utah (highest ranked Big 12 team at the moment), Miami (highest ranked ACC), and Boise State/G5 team. If one of those teams stumbles, then maybe the ACCT loser sneaks in if they play a really close championship game, but I just don't see it happening.
