Walk Ons

A friend of mine told me it was closed. Surely a seasonal thing, right?

On a related subject, my daughter told ma that Pot Belly Pig is being demolished. Shame…that was a cool spot. Making way for higher dollar development, I guess.

Tried to go back after a baseball game and they said they had stopped serving food at around 8 o clock. So they may as well be closed any ways.

A few weeks ago, I talked with one of the people who works at Pot Belly Deli. She explained that the owner was selling the property to the Clemson Hub developers. She also indicated they would be moving their establishment to a building over in the same complex as Moe Joe Coffee on Route 93. Of course, things could change between now and then.

The Walk-Ons located at Carolina Forest (between Conway and Myrtle Beach on Hwy 501) has closed twice within the last year. Both times without any notice to any of the employees other than a short typed notice on the front door. After the first closure, they reopened a few months later. Then, about 2-3 months ago, they abruptly closed again and again with just a typed note on the front door. On both occasions, employees were not paid but after the first closure, they must have been paid to open back up. However, according to the local paper, the latest closure has ended everything for this location and there is a sign on the highway indicating that the property is available. Per the internet, the location in Surfside Beach remains open. I bet it won't be for long for I go by there several times a month and I see very few cars in the parking lot.

Seems like very bad management. I dont know why anybody wants to go there Clemson has good bars already. we dont need a corporation trying push local bars out. Friend and I went to one in Louisiana and it as just ok not bad but nothing to write home about. Next day went to local restaurant and had real cajon food.

Walk-ons was never even considered despite there being several locations down there. Just a generic place that does not stand out amongst the Cajun food down there.

It would be like a chain BBQ place up here

Surprised Dabo is partnered with a place that’s so poorly run.

just drove by there today. They’re open and seem to be doing quite well. Crowded like everything else in Clemson right now.

Probably a seasonal closing. I believe some bars (Study Hall?) are closed during the summer months.
