USuC now has 29 commitments for their 2015 class

Dec 6, 2014, 8:23 AM

and they're looking for a few more. They normally expect some fallout (you have to be pretty dumb to go to USuC) but to target 30+ commitments is a pretty sad story.

Fairly typical at many (most) SEC schools.

the time of departure ? it makes a big difference because at the ripe old age of 18, their juvenile records could get expunged.

Didn't they have 8 non-quals for this year's class ? I suppose out of 29 (with the kind of kids they look for ) there could be another 7-12 of the current commits who couldn't get onto a college campus if you drove them there and opened their door.

Hopefully minus one... Fields to Clemson would be great.***

if history is any sort of indicator.....

Dec 6, 2014, 9:23 AM

fully one-third won't get in (as truly remarkable as that fact is!)....but there'll be plenty of room for the ones that actually do matriculate after SOS & staff get finished paring schollies.

Spurrier LONG ago found a way to manipulate the NCAA APR numbers and NCAA/SEC scholarship limitations.

at usuc is about going to nfl early or getting run out of town. Degree is only for a few 1% that somehow get through the crack.

I realize I am not an objective observer here but how do they have that many? We don't have nearly that many? It is beyond me why any parent would want their son to come to such a trashy, unsafe school? They have no traditions, no football heritage and an old drunk as their coach. Even the draw of being a member of the SEC can't be that much of a factor given there abysmal conference record. I just don't get it....
