This is wrong. 100% completely, totally, false. Someone told you this who was also misinformed and now your stating it as fact. It's not. The money is almost never 50/50.
In tomorrow night's Pats/Dolphins game, 70-80% of the money will be on the patriots. The vast majority of the time more money is bet on the favorite.

Alabama started out -125 and has now moved to -145
Clemson has gone from +105 to +125
The over/under being at 47.5 is crazy if you ask me. You can't really go wrong betting the over on college games.

Well, I imagine he had a lot of "time to prepare" for Ohio State in the 2014 CFP.
And, in fact, "time to prepare" for the last THREE Sugar Bowls he's coached in (all losses).
If bettors are looking for trends, they might do best to look elsewhere. Perhaps the fact that Dabo Swinney is 6-1 outright as a bowl underdog (7-0 against the spread).
