If you’re a highly ranked recruit and there’s an upperclassman in front of you. You will not play meaningful snaps your freshman year, and you most certainly will not start. But you will learn great culture for a whole year while your skills are grossly underutilized and underdeveloped due to riding the bench for a whole year instead of being in real game situations.

neither do you. The precedent i’m referring to was just set by Dabo with his handling of the current QB situation. Which means everything before today is useless to point out. But since you did, I said IF there’s an upperclassman in front of you. When Ship got here the only one in front of him was Mikey Dukes and Lyn j. They both transferred, leaving just Rencher. Rencher was never a starting RB. Lawrence didn’t start until halfway through the season when KB left. THAT was the decision that should have been made this year. However instead, Dabo decided to send a message to the whole country that he will not, no matter how bad it gets, replace a starting upperclassman with a more talented freshman.
Whether that statement is true or not. That was the message he sent.

I did not say he was better. I said he was more talented. And talent can be recognized quickly. We don’t know if he will develop into a better QB. But we do know he is faster, quicker, and more explosive among other things.

who did those guys beat, that was the starter last year? no one, because there was no clear cut starter. I said highly ranked recruit coming in and usurping a starting upperclassman.
So no they do not fit my narrative.

He’s changed his criteria - says it has to be a freshman that replaces a starting upperclassman that was there the year before. Not what he said in the OP.
