unfortunately, I don't see either happening any time soon.

Once they ruled that this was NIL most courts are going to side with a player and say you can't limit what they make for their name, image, or likeness. These deals aren't about performance yet.

The only way anything changes is with a fan revolt.

And I don’t think us Americans can get into the hive mind mentality it would take to make that happen.

Yeah but let’s be honest. They really aren’t making money off of their name, image, or likeness. They are getting paid to come play football.

everyone knows that but since the NCAA sucks and didn't control

it from the beginning, it's all up to the courts.

The NCAA did control it. NIL was not allowed. That was the control. But the courts came in and said, "You can't make that rule. In fact, you can't make any rules that control how much a player gets paid in NIL or even how many time he can transfer (you can't make him sit out)."

This is the chaos that the courts rendered, and also states that passed local laws to give their schools NIL rights with a big F.U. to the NCAA.

You are new to college sports I guess. Athletes who are lucky enough to earn, are employees of whomever is paying them. The athletes get a W-2 or 1099 and pay taxes. Class over, there will be a test.

I don't think you know how employment works

No to employees. Next up would be unions and it'd be harder to 'fire' your employee. Just apply graduation rates to allowed players on a team and it'd fix the problem as coaches would now have to worry about taking in these 1-2 year players and no graduation. Make 'college' matter, as it is a place of learning. LMAO
