Underclassmen at DE

Feb 4, 2016, 8:22 PM

with Dane Rogers gone, all scholarship DE's are underclassmen. Austin Bryant has already shown that he can win one-on-one matchups, Yeargin flashed potential when given the opportunity, Ferrell has the all the tools, and Slash can probably be considered a DE if necessary.

I love how Hobby develops DE's. its gonna be fun to see which ones turn in to animals like all the others on NFL defenses he has coached up.

now for recruiting the postion, anybody familiar with the kids from Hanna? one is Wynn, not sure the other kids name. both are really big and athletic, pretty sure FSU has offered both when they went to camps. Wynn's dad played at clemson i believe

That is correct on the Wynn kid (beast actually). I saw him for the first time Wednesday, and he is an absolute monster! I've haven't seen him play, but he certainly looks the part. He's just a sophomore but I hear he wants to follow in his father's footsteps...good news for us!

the coach at Hanna, Bruce Ollis, is an awesome coach and even better guy. im sure him and Dabo get along very well. hopefully he can send both of those big boys our way.

was he playing basketball when you saw him?

That's a great name for him also. I love the way he was slashing catching that pass and heading down field. It was awesome!!!

Wilkins was introduced as defensive tackle / wide receiver / ... on and on and then he proceeded to say just call him "Slash".

When Xavier Kelly puts more weight on he's gonna kill it. He has as much upside as any of our young DE's

X man doesn't need much more weight

He is already a ripped 255 at WDE. That's playing weight right there for a WDE
