Best I can surmise from what I read is that 90% + of ALL news media and politicians from both sides strongly condemn Hamas and support Israel aggressively defending themselves. Likewise the blame is placed on Hamas and Iran.
There’s some other interesting geopolitical twists that are worth discussing but there’s seems to be consensus in reporting the news and on direct responsibility.

one I am not making. My point is:
Hamas is a terrorist organization and their attack on Israel is an evil, indefensible act of terorrism. MSNBC apparently believes their target audience, which is indisputably left/far left, believes that Israel and the U.S. are partly to blame. I think any who believe that and consequently won't flat out condemn Hamas and any of their allies or supporters in this endeavor, are evil and twisted, bordering on insanity.
That is all I am claiming, and I stand by it. Anything more is you expanding the argument into something else.

you saw in the interview I posted, which was the only thing I was referencing. The only mental gymnastics here are by those trying to disassociate the left/far left (MSNBC's target audience) from the Hamas sympathizing and victim blaming.
Trump worship is a scourge on the GOP, but there is no denying it is solidly associated with and part of the right wing of the party; to pretend otherwise would be ridiculous, and I have consitently spoken out against and condemned it. There are literally dozens of left wing student groups, just on the Harvard campus, defending Hamas and blaming Israel. It's been so bad the Harvard faculty (no champion of the right) had to call them out with a statement of its own. This is going on on many other campuses as well. If you think the lefts appalling response to this consists of a single interview you're the one performing some astounding mental gymnastics.

Every post and comment and thought does not have to cover or account for all scenarios under all possible conditions; nobody does that, nobody expects that, and it's not a problem.
In this case, it was about a left-biased network catering to the far left of their left-leaning, Democrat audience. Therefore, in this case, there was no point to talk about how sometimes the right does it too, or anything about the right. It's perfectly fine to call out one side or the other when they are wrong, and this time it was MSNBC, a left biased network and the far left part of their left-leaning Democrat audience. That was the point of Dan's commentary.
For what it's worth, I agree 100% that the extremes of both parties say and do stupid stuff. I talk about it all of the time on here, and if I were making a general statement about politics and ideoligies, I'd include it.

Well, yes, in the case of MSNBC. But the article you posted shows some on the extreme right--and of course, Trump taking an atrocity and making it about him--playing the same BS politics. And I know you saw Charleston Tom's absurd post (he's far right extreme) where he's siding with Hamas and claiming the stories are made up. He's claiming the execution of babies story is a made up conspiracy.
So in this specific case, both extreme sides are acting like idiots.
I look at this board and see that MOST people here are NOT extremists, and those people all seem to be on the same page that Hamas's actions are pure evil.

Sure, Trump is making it about him, but that was not the point of Dan Abram's piece; Sure, he pointed out that Trump is being his usual idiot self and making it about him, but the point of his tirade was very clearly directed at MSNBC and their "far left audience" - his words.
If you have any doubts about how Dan feels and who he's calling on the carpet here, check this out, where he says "There is no excuse, there is no explaining it away, but not all Democrats agree".:

but in the case of Israel there is a larger segment of the far left (mostly the pro Marxist Democratic Socialist wing/movement) that have a real hatred for Israel. The far left's web of Marxist aligned organizations (BLM, Democratic Socialists, Antifa etc...) all seem to hold anti-Israel, if not anti-Semitic views and have way more prevalence/influence than is found in the anti-Semitic far right.
College campuses throughout the USA have been a breeding ground for these far left organizations so it comes as no surprise that anti-Israel/pro Hamas expressions and demonstrations are popping up on campuses throughout the USA. To me it is saddening how many of the younger generation have bought into not just the anti-Semitic messages of these ideologies but also its anti-Capitalist and collectivist Marxist moorings.
Fortunately the far right really doesn't have the same anti-Israel representation in Congress as does the left. The Congressional "squad" falls clearly into this far left anti-Israel group whose views on Israel/Palestine are tainted by their overall absurd view of history, Governance, and the collectivist world that they wish to inflict upon all of us.
I have seen at least one Democrat criticize the squad members (New Jersey Democrat Rep. Josh Gottheimer) but it would be refreshing if the whole of the Democratic Caucus would formally denounce these members and their anti-Semitic views/behavior. Nancy Pelosi had the opportunity to do that when she was House Speaker and essentially took a "pass" and severely watered down or stopped any real attempt to do so.
The left leaning media has spent so much time building up the squad members (AOC in particular) that outlets such as MSNBC are now compelled to soften its language when covering Hamas as to not outright offend their "Squad" like-minded audience. Sad really....

Thus far, MSNBC has been the only media outlet I've seen worthy of harsh criticism for their coverage of this atrocity. The rest seem to be pretty on top of it the way they should be.
