Yes, safety sounds right. Unlikely he can crack the Dogs RB room. It's pretty simple - they get almost every player they want.

I coach him currently. Great Kid who thought recruiting cycle was pretty much done. So he committed.
Then big time schools came in to offer.
I think all of us would agree that in his shoes - we’d leave a place like NC state for a place like UGA

Really not the question though, the question is how

Does UGA get so many Running backs and what do they do with them? They only play 2 maybe 3 a year.

This is the correct answer.

The Dawgs play a lot of RBs in their rotation, enough to keep them happy. And they put a lot of RBs in the NFL.
Other than Etienne (injury prone so far) and Gallman (some success but not much) we don’t have many recent RBs to point to like that.
We tend to focus more on one back. This year, it’s Shipley. We just lost Pace because he was not getting many carries. I’m surprised we kept Mafah because he’s excellent but doesn’t get to play much (because Shipley plays so much).
We’ve had other talented RBs, but they didn’t work out. Bellamy was a 5 star and didn’t do anything here. Feaster was also highly recruited and didn’t do much. Lyn-J was publicly scolded by Dabo and told that he was in the Love Shack and “needs to grow up.”
Also, we run the QB a lot, which takes potential carries away from our RBs.
If people wonder why we can’t get top RB recruits, these are the reasons why.

Judge, Shipley was a 5 star RB. This is a fact. Stick to BB and defending Brownell.

When did I say Shipley wasn’t a 5 star RB?

The question is, how does Georgia stockpile RBs while we have struggled to sign any highly recruited ones in two cycles?
Our RB recruiting last year and this year has been really bad. That’s also a fact.

Yeah. I lost some respect for Dabo when he made the remarks about Lyn-J. I believe that the "Love Shack" moniker actually started with Kendrick who he also chided publicly. There have been 2 or 3 others over the last couple of years as well. I hope that his intentions were good, but ill conceived, because it was not a good look as far as I was concerned.
As far as running back recruiting goes, look to the offensive line. Georgia and Alabama have lines that make any running back look good. I think that Austin has our line moving in the right direction. The better our run blocking becomes, the easier it will be for us to get top RB recruits.

Did Clemson try and recruit him?
Also, literally every message on here about UGA getting a commitment they say "Paid money."
Can you dispel this myth, or is it true that they got the "bag" as the kids nowadays say?

Spend a lot of money! NIL just made it so much easier for UGA to buy players. If I were a HC I could not live with myself knowing $$$$$$ was one of the main factors the elevated Ga to one of the top 1, 2, 3 teams in college football. Without the money Ga would not be the powerhouse they have become. For example: they bought a player away from OSU.
IMO for Kirby Smart it’s WIn at any cost!
It’s ironic that UGA became NC’s when NIL became law and college players could get to paid. Before NIL UGA and Kirby Smart were on the outside looking in. UGA has always walked a fine regarding NCAA rules.
Now is pathetic that the NCAA is close to folding up the organization. They are already irrelevant. Can the new President of the NCAA save them.

Doesn't NIL make it easier for every team to "buy" players?
What do you mean by "If I were a HC I could not live with myself knowing $ was one of the main factors that has evelvated UGA?" Couldn't live with yourself like you'd quit the profession or couldn't live with yourself as in you couldn't go on living?
Kirby Smart understands why he's paid 10mil per year. It isn't to stick with an underpeforming QB and watch the ship go down all in the name of loyalty or stubborness. It's to win games and championships.
