UGA is a huge game but it's probably the only game we

could lose on our schedule and still be in NC hunt if we win the rest and UGA keeps winning. . It would of course depend on Ohio State, Bama, Oregon, Stanford, UF, Louisville, and A&M losing one to a lesser opponent than UGA which could very well happen. It's very hard to go undefeated. See Bama the last two years.
So, as far as a NC goes, it's probably better to lose to UGA rather than GT or Wake or 'Cuse or UMD or FSU or the coots, etc.
If we win, and I think we do, but UGA winning is a definite possibility, and wouldn't be the end of the world. We could definitely learn from it.

but there is not a snowball's chance in hell we play for a National title with a loss to ANYONE.
ESPN will murder and label us for the rest of the year as the team that only beats cupcakes and can't win the big one. Their agenda is to get an SEC team into the National Title game...period.
In terms of the season being successful, a loss to UGA wouldn't hurt our chances of ACC Title and BCS game.

will be in the game, but two SEC teams in NC is a huge longshot. Unless 2 beats 1 in SEC like two years ago.

I agree that two SEC teams would be a longshot.

However, there's nothing "tin foily" about the notion that we would be crucified, nationally, and would be an even greater longshot than a second SEC team getting into the NC game.

Crucified by losing to a #5 ranked UGA? I don't think so.***

ready for ESPN's love affair with the SEC.
If we lose, we'll fall out of the top ten and scratch and claw our way back in, not making the top 5.
Just my thoughts. I've seen this process before.

Just my opinion, but lose to UGA,and I think you can pretty much forget the NC. If Clemson loses to UGA,I think they drop too far back to be able to climb their way back in. There are just too many good teams that could jump Clemson and keep them out of the top five. Add to that, the only other top 25 teams we play this season are FSU,and the Coots so strength of schedule beyond those 3 top 25 games could hurt. We definitly have to beat FSU,however to get any chance of going to a BCS( The Orange)Bowl. Yes,I know it's hard to go undefeated, but I think it's Clemson's only real shot of going all the way. Besides,as much as I hate to admit it,I think our chances of beating the Dawgs in the Valley outweight( right now anyway) those of beating the Coots at Willie B.

I must say that if we can't them this year we have a problem Houston? This Dawg team lost 8 defensive starters! We have aruably the best QB and WR in the game. I predict a 42-17 blowout! Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!!

I think the only game we can lose and still make to the bcs championship game is either Virginia or gt , cause we will still beat the big 3 and win the acc championship.

But Virginia or gt would have to have at least 8 or 9 wins for that to happen.
