I am waiting. Supposedly Palau will be first. Then expect a strong offer from the Federated States of Micronesia. You should see a huge boost in the stock market very soon.

own deals. This crosses communist, Arab, Muslim, Shinto, Buddhist, monarchs, tyrants, dictators, theocracies, parliaments, democracies, oligarchies, rural, urban, black, white, Christian, YOU NAME IT.........
Everything Trump ever promised about any kind of deal, went out the window when he tore up USMCA, threatened to leave NATO, and abandoned Ukraine. Worst part of all of this is even though as Americans we can write Trump off as a moron, it really doesn't matter. We elected him, the world has to deal with him, and they won't. This will cripple our economy, dollar, and decades of trust and alliances we have built for generations. One man. ONE dumb move. Will cost us all, dearly.

It will never cease to amaze me that a plurality of American voters voted for this to happen. Like the argument goes, Trump is all but a symptom of the rot that has infested our country as a whole. Trump as a President and person is ephemeral, but what has led to him may be much more enduring and that scares me.

It should, because he's not a solution to the enduring problems that led to him.

I'm reading the Dems are falling into line supporting AOC, again, not the correct response to the enduring problems.
Tell you what, I know she won't ever say this, but if AOC says she will do everything in her power to see that there is an Article V convention of the states, and she says she wants ONLY Congressional term limits and a balanced budget to be discussed, I will vote for her enthusiastically, every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.
But that won't happen. And while you can argue the merits of Article V, and whatever else, short of that, our future is entirely predictable.

She is also going to say things that aren't needed like, there are no illegal immigrants, be supportive of men in women's sports, and just tons of identity politics. You might as well just give it to the Presidency for gold, because we will lose again with any of that message in there. Then in 2028 it gets even tougher after the consensus. They better not push her. I highly doubt she would ever win a primary though. It's going to be some dude I imagine.

Exactly. Our problem is our Congress. It is broken, and that's bad and

ultimately dangerous for our republic. We don't have a party problem, an ideological problem, a dem or pub problem, we have a very fundamental, really a simple, HUMAN NATURE problem.
One of the very fundamental things they teach, and students study right off the bat in Political science isn't liberalism or conservatism, nope. It isn't party structures, our balance of powers, or anything else. FIRST LESSON, DAY ONE STUFF......HUMAN NATURE. Is it inherently good, or inherently evil? Why? Our Constitution, and the Enlightenment, assumes it is inherently evil, and I tend to agree. HOWEVER, people who are the examples of the good in human nature, have the unique capacity to rectify, nullify, and mitigate that which is bad, when prudence supersedes vice.
Most people today, with a "modern" education, don't understand this. They have been taught that the idea, the principle of democracy is in itself an example of all that is good in human nature, and nothing more is needed. Democracy is just, honorable, unflawed, strong, and fixes itself. Nothing is further from the truth, if you take some history courses you'd know that.
Our Congress has no checks, beyond the veto pen of a President, that's IT. They have tenure, they have seniority, a structured system in play to reward those who reward the most. They are not arrested, investigated, and are essentially free from discipline, except among themselves. They are a closed unit in our governemnt, and the one with the LEAST checks, and balances.
Our founders were wise, wise well beyond even their years and experience. An amazing collection of people, intellects, attitudes, and character. They knew the problems, and tried every which way to address them. The ONE place they came up short, CONGRESS. Unless Congress regulates itself, there is but ONE other option in our Constitution. It is Article V. And it was intended SOLELY for the use of the states, SHOULD an inherent, structural or procedural weakness evolve in Congress. Any human nature issue, the states can assert themselves to fix the institution. NOT direct policy, not direct votes, but to keep the MACHINE of governemnt as created by our Constitution, to keep it running as efficiently and as "good" as possible for the service of The People.
Like I've said, Article V is the ONLY recourse we have to use, within the confines of our Constitution, to fix what is truly wrong. Without that, the future is entirely predictable.

Trump was brainwashed by his boat parades and rallies to think that represented the global situation. The rest of the world is like, "What the fuqq are you talking about?". Now he is like, "Wait a second here. Let's talk about this.". Crickets. Everyone is scrambling to see how they can find more stable trading partners and to work on limiting the need or dependence on the US. They will look for more balance. Basically Trump shot himself in the foot.

Trump was going to be taken care of financially no matter what, but he may have done better without the mess. No telling. He did shoot himself in the foot though. He is insecure and does want to look like a genius and like a winner. He doesn't want to go down as a cra*py president and a fool.

Trump announces good news between 9 to 5.
Bad news is typically announced at night or on weekends.
Headlines for trade deals could come in anytime. He doesn’t care; he’ll just throw out a headline.
Actual trade deals that are followed by our foreign counterparties? We may never see a trade deal effectively implemented.
