Trump bump has been great for stock portfolio

Feb 15, 2017, 4:46 PM

Lots of chaos in the news, but I've enjoyed checking my account balances.

I'm still 20 years out from retirement, so for selfish reasons I was kind of hoping it would dip 20%+...have had some cash on the sidelines for a while and would like to get it back in there. Ideally, I would like for the market to suck for the next 18 years and then increase 1,000,000% right before I retire.

I had some cash on the sideline for a while. Finally gave up and have been incrementally putting it into the market each month over the past year. Plenty of opposing views on dollar-cost-averaging versus putting in the whole thing. My comfort level is to invest in increments.

Might as well as invest some of it now. I've been waiting for the market crash for years and it hasn't happened. Who knows when it will hit.

Note: I'm not an investment adviser and lot liable for my opinion losing you all your money.

Go look at the Shiller / PE Ratios and play your cards wisely. The numbers right now are ugly.

Just wait until he finishes with the tax cuts.

Our economy has enough kinetic energy waiting to be released we'll all recuperate our losses of the past 16 years.

You gotta decide how much risk to take. Once the plummet begins, it will be too late.

Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect: like a man, who hath thought of a good repartee when the discourse is changed, or the company parted; or like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead.
