If we had to lose one game...

this would be the one to pick. If we run the table, this loss will have zero effect on us getting into the CFP. If our one loss of the year was the ACC championship game, we don't get in.

Trust me, I am not a pumper and this was the most positive spin on this loss that I could come up with because I am be critical. Now realistically...I sure hope we figure this out quick because if we don't, this could be a season to forget.

But we need to stop this line of thinking. If we can't, it'll take another loss for everyone to stop talking about running the table.

I've even heard the players say it, and that can't be the goal.


The goal needs to be to get better today/this week, and go execute at a high level on Saturday. Nothing else matters at this point.

Not disagreeing, just my lame attempt at being positive which has been real tough since Monday night. I know this old man would get his ### kicked but I would love to lead them in an Oklahoma drill just to show them that effort and attitude does matter.

But I think it can also be argued that it is a fans job to forward look and dream. It is coaches/players who are getting better day by day. Nothing you or I do is going to help that team get better day by day. It is on them.

Losing a game is one thing. Getting embarrassed is another. That's the kind of loss that will haunt you the rest of the season. Sure if we run the table, by some miracle, we still have a chance but us laying an egg of this magnitude won't be forgotten.
