DW4 Travesty if he ends up 3rd in Heisman.

Dec 9, 2015, 8:54 AM

Travesty is because he will finish third, but:
#1 - No way Christian McCaffrey is more deserving than DW4.
#2 - This is representative of "early" voting by Heisman voters.
#3 - He is best player on the #1 and the only undefeated team in the nation
#4 - Henry benefited from the mouthpiece hype of ESPN

The odds below show a travesty occurring.

From CBSSports.com
While most anticipated there would be six or seven players on the list to go to New York, only Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey and Deshaun Watson got the call. Bovada has released its final batch of Heisman Trophy odds ahead of Saturday's ceremony, and Henry is the overwhelming favorite.
Current odds:
Derrick Henry: 1-12
Christian McCaffrey: 6-1
Deshaun Watson: 22-1

I hope someone gets the voting results. I am curious to compare votes of coaches and players to votes by media. I expect the "media" to have voted by hype vs knowledge. It is just too easy to go by hype and what was "reported/propoagandized" by espn.

Here is a now defunct site that compiled a list of Heisman voters:

We all feel the same but we also know that DW4 said numerous

times it was about the team and winning. They could have left him in to pad his stats in many of the other games but we put others in to help our team.

So, we all know DW4 is worthy but we also know the media has pushed their darlings who have gotten more chances to put up yards and stats.

I just hope DW4 will be back in NYC 2016 if he does not win on Saturday.

Relax

1. It's so subjective there is no way to predict the outcome.
2. To other fans, their candidates are just as deserving. It will really come down to how fair minded each voter is, and what he's looking to say with his ballot.
3. It's a huge step, albeit one we've anticipated for a couple years now, and an honor to be in the top three - especially with another year to play, under a brighter spotlight for the entire season.
4. DW might be more focused (on proving them wrong) if he come up short in the vote. History shows that over and over.

All that being said, I hope he wins.

All three are very deserving so no travesty no matter

who wins. The same can be said for Oklahoma's QB who has 35 TDs and only 5 interceptions, Wow.
