Trent Pearman should transfer, he's being overly loyal

I truly believe Trent Pearman may be a very good college QB and the best on the team.

I looked up some of his stats which are incredible in 2 years at Daniel high school 24-0 record, back to back 3A championships back to back Gatorade SC player of the year awards.

For those poo pooing and saying he's only on the team because of his father Danny Pearman, or you roll out the friends and family thing with the swinney boys, listen NUKE Hopkins and other high level players came out of there also. Ironically the one "friends and family" connection Dabo should play more he never does.

I'm starting to have a strange feeling remember when Pearman outplayed Cade by a mile in the spring game a year ago, and Dabo played it down for some reason instead of embracing true QB competition.

I really dont trust Dabo to play the best qb i really dont, this is a man with a straight face said Cole Stoudt beat out Deshaun Watson and Kelly Bryant beat out Trevor Lawrence to start the seasons.

He also convinced us DJ and Cade have greatness in them, problem is it never manifest in big games.

I think Trent Pearman may very well be a gameday baller, but he'll never know if he stays, we got Dabo banking on slow as molasses VZ and Cade.

Joe Burrow also won Ohio high school player of the year award went to Ohio State and another "genius" college coach named Urban Meyer said he was 4th string, so he transferred to LSU who saw something in him, by the way name the 3 Ohio State QB' who were ahead of him, what are they doing now.

Indeed.
Also any specific player or position group that Dabo heaps praises on in camp you know for sure they are going to suck bigly.

If he's one thing, it's consistent.

Maybe Dabo had his fingers crossed behind his back.

This has to be satire.***

Hmmmmm interesting. But my opinion is Trent Pearman is a grown ### man and gets to decide what he wants to do. I doubt you’re in his Rolodex to call for advice.

The only opportunity Pearman had, to run with the 1's, was in said spring game and he played very well. Whether it's at Clemson or another program, hope he gets a shot.

He could likely go to at least 50 schools and start.

I can't decide if this is satire or not....which if it is, is pure gold.

TP may be a good QB. However, he's played more since that Spring Game performance and has been OKAY in mop-up duty. Heck, Hunter Helms looked like a World Beater a few times when he was running in mop-up duty, then went to a couple different schools and unfortunately didn't do anything noteworthy so he's back as a grad transfer.

For those examples [Stoudt vs DW4 + Bryant vs TL16], from all accounts, it was even heading out of the spring when the competition was going.

1 - DW4 injured his collarbone in the spring so he didn't even get to complete Spring Camp so his fall camp was likely slow played.
2 - T16 was flashing but still learning the playbook.

When it comes to even competition...you tend to lean toward experience out the gate vs throwing out the young pup. That's ball. None of us on this board likely got to attend practices to see if TL or DW were just making plays every practice and witnessed the coaches just telling them to sit down and wait, despite looking like future Heisman Finalists.

Even with Joe Burrow. He wasn't JOE BURROW until his RS SR year. He was OKAY as a RS JR. Nothing would have indicated he would do much more as a RS SR. He is an exception not the rule.

Well said Glennjamin. Trent was a very good HS QB and might could start at many smaller schools. Dabo loves our Daniel HS connection so if anything that gives Trent a leg up on his qb competition. Maybe Trent loves Clemson and would rather be on our team than go to another school.

I agree. He seems to have the moves and mentality for the QB game. He would be my guy behind Cade who would go in fast if Cade stumbles.

Joe Burrow did have the two best receivers in the NFL currently. Also, Joe Brady was a huge upgrade for their passing game.

I’ve been loyal for 55 years, I’m not leaving the Tigers, never will. Maybe he’s just like me, or I’m just like him. Some people need to look up the definition of the word loyalty.
