I think this team should be disappointed in the loss. I think that they will. There were too many fouls and too many missed opportunities late.
That said. This is a pretty balanced basketball team and I am encouraged by the early results. We have weapons. We have good defenders . Could be a great year if they grow throughout.

I know Brad really values his experience and leadership. He’s a glue guy who plays hard, I get it. But we can’t afford to have anyone out there playing starter minutes who can’t score consistently.

This basketball heel turn is hysterical. You are absolutely pathetic.

Well, certainly disappointed after having the halftime lead. We will learn alot. Like was discussed pre-season, team is a work in progress. Brad's got to find the rotation. Who can do what etc. I was impressed with our fight when we got down 10. Then down 7 late and cut it to 2. We will grow... or should.
I may need to temper my optimism pre-season. Nothing to do with a loss. But my early season concerns of the 3 ball and consistency. We've had some really open looks in all 4 games and we miss them badly. Thought we got out physicaled down low at times. We have struggled in every game with droughts and some sloppy play. I agree with nctigs in the fact, that'll get cleaned up.
One thing I wanted to see from this game was our guard play. We're not nearly physical enough on D as we have been of late. We will play a lot of teams with big, strong guards, and Georgetown doesn't have nearly the guards we'll see in the acc, but we could not stop them from driving to the hoop. This, imo may be our biggest weakness.
Don't get me wrong. I'm excited for the next game. Go Tigers.

Tough to lose anytime, but I think we will learn and grow from this.

First road game, and it was against a basketball school from a tough conference on their home court. We played hard and I thought we did pretty well for the most part. These early season games are especially hard when you’re still trying to figure out yo rotation and how to play together.
Cooley is a good coach and I expect the Hoyas will be in the conversation for the NCAA Tournament next March. This will surely be a “good loss.”

I get what Judge is saying, however, Dillon has never been a ‘scorer’. He does the dirty work and while he is a leader, you need to look for consistent points somewhere else.

No, he's right. Come March, there's a really good chance that Georgetown will be a quad 1 team. That's important in basketball.
You don't have good losses in football

Interesting variance. Any thoughts on that from Tiger hoopsters?

Shots were 61 to 53. 3-point attempts are included in the FG attempts
