Law enforcement friends said he seemed relieved to be back in custody. That makes a lot of sense if the alternative was being sentenced to coach the chickens.

I personally hope Beamer stays. The only good thing he has done was to get Rattler, who no one else wanted, to win a few extra games. Without Rattler he would probably already be gone.

Beamer knows he is on the hot seat so he will do whatever it takes to have a decent season to hang onto his job. He has a terrible schedule with a very weak team. Should see some recruiting violations in the future if not already.

Chadwell is one fine football coach. No question about it. However, he would be a horrible fit for Cooterville. Jimmy is a devout Christian as is Dabo, and like Dabo he lets everyone know it. The Woke Culture in Cola would be a killer for him. Probably destroy him, his career and his family.They need to find a football coach with the world view of Chuck Schumer to survive down there. Maybe clone their wimmins basketball coach and see how he/she/it/they/them work out. That oughta work!

I don’t think either is willing to burn their careers over a 4-year try-and-fail situation.
Shawn has nothing to lose but not qualified or capable of doing more than Baby Beamer.
Dave D benefits from the Jekyll and Hyde ACC. He wins when the league is in the dip. Also not as good as skilled as Muschamp. He’d def take the job.
Jamie would be likely to both take the job and connect regionally with recruits. His big unknown is how he fares against better competition. Even if he tapped into Eastern NC talent he won’t overmatch the established SEC East teams. I’m also not sold that his system works against better football players. Could be. I don’t see him as a developer of “diamond in the rough” players. He’s either have to out-recruit or out-scheme for wins and he’s probably middle-of-the-road in both at the P5-level.

Jamey Chadwell and family are very happy at Liberty University at this time.
If the chickens come calling he'll probably listen but remain at Liberty U
til a better opportunity comes his way.
