For elliot sake, I hope so....think about his journey and how far he has come from a walk on at Clemson to the team captain. To coaching gigs at sc state to Forman, back to Clemson as a rb coach to oc....to his own head coaching job at a power 5 school....that's a man that deserves whatever he gets.
If he gets the job, I wish him the best....unless he plays Clemson....
Elliot is a true Tiger.....I always feel proud when Tigers succeed

Elliott will have a long, well paid career as long as he can muster 7 win seasons at Duke. Actually above 6 wins is overachieving.

You guys can bash Elliot all you want, but I think he’s a great OC, unfortunately at the beginning of the season when you have a patchwork Oline, head case QB, a bunch of injured wide receivers, it’s hard to move the ball. I thought his game plan versus wake forest in South Carolina was great. Did his scheme relie too much on quarterback play? perhaps. But my gosh we’ve had great quarterback play since he’s been in the office of coordinator. You can’t reinvent the wheel overnight, and I’m sure the coaches were just as surprised as the fans of how much DJ struggled. I mean if you watch the games, how many receivers were open and DJ missed them, how many times did DJ get them in the hands of the receiver drop the ball? Enough to win two more games I would say. If we are 11 and one and ACC champs, nobody would be saying anything

The second half of the season Elliot did very well. He adjusted to the players he had and he did what he had to do to give the team a chance to win....
The entire Clemson coaching staff including Dabo misread DJ, I'm not sure if he looked great in practice leading up to the season and it just didn't translate into games or what, however, the playbook just didn't fit the QBs talent, once they finally understood that and started compacting the playbook and running the ball to open up the available pass instead of vice versa things changed to at least give us a chance to win.
Elliot play calling against Wake and usc was really good

I like Tony because he is a Clemson man to the core. Can’t blame him for getting paid. Let’s be honest, if you had known the success we would have post Chad Morris, he has exceeded all expectations. I think he’s far from perfect but I wish him well. If he leaves we need a stud QB coach if Streeter is promoted.
