Y’all think he has the merit to warn us about criticizing Dabo?
It’s complicated, but if he warns us, it means he thinks there may be consequences from Clemson fans being critical. Like Dabo being fired.
Tommy Bowden, Dabo is not going anywhere, and won’t be fired unless he goes a long streak of losing seasons.
Regardless of what all Tommy said, there’s just no reason to warn us. One because Clemson fans understand that Dabo is Clemson, and that he’s not going anywhere. And second because you aren’t able to stop anything anyways.

As much as I love Dabo, and hope he stays a long time, there is a reality out there that he could walk. He's already gotten pissed at the negativity (from spoiled fans) & it's no secret the $$ in college athletics is getting completely out of hand! Again, hope he doesn't but it wouldn't shock me!

I'm on board with what you're saying. I don't think it'll be the few fans. I think if it becomes more fans, he could walk as Tommy suggested.
But I think it'd be more that he felt he could no longer develop kids. Saying, he can no longer attract enough kids that understand his values because of money, then he could walk.

Maybe I'm wrong but always thought matriculate meant to enroll or start college, not to graduate or leave. Have I been wrong all these years?

I hope Dabo hangs around for a while also. He set the world on fire at Clemson after a long reprieve. It came from nowhere.
Tommy Bowden, in my opinion was stupidly stubborn. If he could have gotten past his ego, he would have been an above average head coach. That didn’t happen. He rivaled Ken Hatfield for being the worst game day coach , that had all kinds of potential.
If Dabo walks, so be it. It was a great ride. Having said that, we need someone now that doesn’t mind keeping up with the times. I still believe that Dsbo is that person. If not I trust that Neff will find him.

Neff has given me confidence in his short time here! Plus Dabo has made this a much more attractive place, for a new coach!!

Yep and with the landscape of college football evolving into something I don’t believe he cares for it may make walking out a little easier. I don’t believe it’s just the fans that will eventually drive him away.

It may be other factors than the fans that will one day cause Dabo to go somewhere else. But the fans are a part that he showed frustration with last year a part of the equation that can be changed this year. Fans need to temper their tongues and also show appreciation for the many great years we have had with Dabo.

I think Dabo could leave within the near future for many of the same reasons Saban left. It's no longer about coaching, developing, and retaining young men. It's about what can you pay me.

Dabo won't be fired and if you got that from the CTB comments then you need to read it again. Dabo may leave due to negativity by dumb fans and the new landscape of CFB.
