doing pretty well till the flips started.

I believe we are a bit guarded and have a right to be somewhat skeptical knowing the big players will come after our commits at the first sign of adversity.

I agree. In todays day and age you cant count your chickens before they hatch,

But the point is we’ve really taken a leap forward when not too long ago people were complaining about how bad our ranking was. It was too early to complain and there’s definitely no reason to complain now.

Will we keep them all? Probably not, but overall I think the word “commitment” means more at Clemson. We will hold on to most if not all plus we’re in a bunch of big names too. We may lose a couple who knows, but with what’s happening on the recruiting trail I see no reason to be skeptical about having a great class.

I think the revenue sharing being available this recruiting class as opposed to the last recruiting class will keep the 26’ class from having the same decommitment issues later into the cycle

The teams that bought the 2025 “commited players” out from under Clemson will also have revenue sharing. The sad truth is, the work is just beginning for Clemson with the 2026 commits. Hopefully Dabo learned last cycle that he will need to have the checkbook ready if he wants to get the commits to enrollment day.

Seems that there are no rules at this point. You’d have to think that there has been discussion of $$$ at some level. Hard to believe any at this level would commit without it.

Anyone know if there’s anything to prevent such discussions? I stipulate up front that I don’t even know of any enforcement body, much less what “rules” they might be enforcing.

This year just feels different in so many respects. I don’t think our program is going to be a sitting duck for poachers.
