TNet Weight Loss Challenge check- in

I weighed 187.4 last night which is down about one pound from last week - only 2.4 pounds to my goal. Couldn't believe I had actually lost since there was a Veterans Appreciation Day in Greenwood this week with a variety of food - I had Chick-fil-A nuggets and pizza ( and COOKIES)! Gained a pound that day so I expected to fall back this week.

Lost another pound this week which normally would be good, but after losing 3 pounds last week, I was hoping for a repeat. Total loss for the challenge is 8 pounds.

Have to give Clover a thumbs up for starting the challenge. For months I had been wanting to lose 10 to 15 pounds but was just not motivated. The "challenge" was what I needed to get it moving.

This is what I needed - hadn't been able to stay motivated to go below 190 before. Would always give in to that ice cream in the freezer but have been able to stay away so I don't embarrass myself after starting this.

61 pounds down.

Pharyngeal cancer will do that when they nuke your throat and infuse you with chemo. They have to almost kill you to kill the cancer.

I looked like walking death...now I am back in the gym and have built back some muscle...folks say that I look good...I was carrying to much weight.

Well, it was bound to happen eventually. I regressed this week and gained a +1 pound to check-in at 180 this week. 😕

Hope to get headed back on a downward trajectory after this small setback....there's more work to do. Still have small layer of adipose fat around midsection that I want gone.

Gotta get back to the grind and grit it out!

I'm up a little at 2.65lbs TW. I came in late and misunderstood what to weigh and which way we were going???
After an hr on the vacuum I'm a little light headed before my weigh ins.

88 has lost almost 30 or 30+ pounds and down to near 200. For him thats like someone who's ideal according to height is 175lb and they are 220.
88 has a big frame. Quadruple e feet with aqueduct arches and he has to wear tennis shoes 2 sizes to big and rated for triple e. Of course he enjoys his Redwing because they are custom made! Has bones like homerectus too!
I am very proud to be part if this community and for my father to introduce me to this community.
You guys and gals come up with some killer ideas, stuff, topics, fun and just general good times.
Thank you tigernetters!

195.6 from 194.2. With the welcome rain the past few days, haven't been able to sweat any off on the golf course or working in the yard. Down 6.4 lbs from 202 start.

Yesterday morning I was still down about 3 pounds from when this started. Basically no change since I can easily change that much in a day based what I eat or drink or whether I work up a good sweat. Also been in a real roller coaster between going on a cruise in Europe, being sick last week and now being
back in Charleston having to make some tough decisions regarding my elderly sister. Today is her 80th birthday and she is in ICU with Covid and pneumonia. Met with the hospice folks this morning and they will switch her to “comfort care” tomorrow. Probably should have done that today but none of us could bring ourselves to that decision on her birthday. The doctors and nurses don’t expect her to last more than a day or so after that. She has been estranged from her 3 kids for years and they are all here so it will be a very interesting next day or two. Hey, clover65®, I don’t know about you, but I’m about ready to go sit in the woods and enjoy a little peace and quiet.

often seem like more than we can deal with, but we do get through somehow. My mother-in-law spent her last 3 months in our home before cancer finally sent her to hospice. We certainly will see those better days along the river and feel the weight lifted from our shoulders.

the part of the Forrest Gump movie on TV had him say, “Sometimes there just aren’t enough rocks”. I guess when we run out of rocks, we just have to deal with life’s tough times the best we can.

That is funny. I told my nephew today that we all deal with these things differently. Some go sit on the dock and throw rocks, some cuss and scream, and some go curl up in the corner and cry. I am definitely a rock thrower. But the point was we all deal with these things differently and we need to let everyone deal with it the way that suits them best.
