His last comment was his truest....
“Obviously, Clemson is very deep, everybody knows that.”

If he handles his post-college career...

with the dignity and grace that he displayed in that interview, then I'll gain some respect for him. So far he seems to be very respectful and, while I still don't understand him choosing the Gamecocks, I can respect him if he remains as humble as today.

Was I the only one that noticed him make sure he said he wishes the best for “his teammates” almost like he wanted it known he wasn’t pulling for the coaching staff? Maybe I read too much into it.

You're reading to much into it. He hugged coach Elliott in pregame warmups.

That’s right I forgot about that. Either way, it was good to see him and the guys together at the end. Go Tigers!

What a waste of a year for him. JMO, but he helped himself not one bit by leaving Clemson and becoming a coot. I guess he thought it would help his future, but IMO, he improved his draft status, not one bit. I think he probably would have helped his draft status more if he had stayed at Clemson, and he probably would have left with more jewelry in terms of rings and team accolades.

I mean good for him for showing some class - I think he knows he made a bad choice but is not going to throw his new teammates under the bus either and I commend him for that. He stays with us however and he has more yards, more exposure, better coaching (and advocates to NFL teams) AND at least two more games with the potential for 3 NC's in 4 years. Not too #### shabby! Let's hope others keep that in mind. Let's face it though - with our roster and continued recruiting we will lose more players and that is just the way it is now with the portal and all that stuff. No sense attacking the kids over it.
