Until rule changes in the 2000s, this basically happened in every single NHL game. Gotta miss old school hockey like this.

Hockey is a fantastic game. Kids from both of these teams are good kids. Clemson is upset that Carolina won the Palmetto Cup in hockey this year in a sweep. This was just an exhibition game after the fact which makes it all that more interesting that a melee like this would break out.

Yes, even the six out-of-state yankee students of each school in a state where water is known NEVER to freeze will resort to beating the living crap out of each other. Yup, seems about right.
And like all things right in the world, Clemson won.
Who knew that clemson "won" the ACC. that must make BC really mad...

Kinda doubt that BC has a club team + one of the better intercollegiate programs.
Their rivalry with Boston U is about as intense as some of ours with C***hockey, C***ker, C***ball and C***country.
Didja think i made those up? Maybe i did, but aren't they cool to imagine? Brawls at every venue, even by the out-of-staters. So long as they're wearing protective gear, of course.

Well, Clemson has club baseball, what's the difference?
And, when I was there, club football was a thing too.
You'd be surprised at how much Clemson offers on the club level, academic or athletic.

At least the benches weren't cleared. Hockey does bring out the worst, and maybe that's why I love it. Clemson and USC have a nasty athletic relationship.
