It wasn't all that long ago that the most of them were saying that Dabo WOULD be Sabans replacement when he retired. I guess they were watching when Dabo hired back to back to back bone headed coaching hires with coaches that had very little to not much coaching experience at all, and they watched as Clemson took a nosedive from the top bc of it, and Clemson was no longer a threat to Bama as we were for 5-6 years in a row...

Clemson has the same amount of talent as they have during the National Championship years. The biggest difference is QB. When you have a Deshaun a b d a Trevor they tend to cover up most things. As far as the coaching hires the guys Dabo has hired studied and learned under coaches you would claim were successful. Yet I don't hear fans like you bashing Goodwin and he wasn't any type of coach. Amazing that high powered OC everyone was so excited about had an offense ranked worse than Streeter. Clemson was ONE game away from the Playoff last year. Would they have gotten beaten badly like against Bama with Kelly Bryant or against LSU with Trevor Lawrence, more than likely but it would have been a Playoff appearance. Clemson is not a win at all cost university not sure why that is so hard to get thru the thick skulls of the 1.5% of you. When Clemson was winning National Championship's it was awesome bc we knew Dabo and company did it the right and moral way and unfortunately when you do it that way and you don't live up to expectations put on you by the minority including the 1.5% of fans and talking heads at sports networks that have the morality of a pedo then they try and kick dirt on you. Like I've said before, IF YOU DONT LIKE THE WAY DABO RUNS THINGS THEN........L E A V E....... Plenty of utter feeding succubus low character coaches that probably line up more with your state of mind.

Exactly! Dabo Swinney led our team to 6 straight CFP no other team has done that and we won 2 National Championships against the great Alabama. I so wished Dabo would have left the starters in when it was 44-16 because they were moving to make it 51-16 but Dabo is an Alabama alum. That Bama team was the team all the so called EXPERTS were saying was the GREATEST team in CFB history. Well, we destroyed them ! Maybe, those Bama fans need to remember that but we love Dabo and want him at CLEMSON UNIVERSITY.

I think they should hire Rees. Whoever the first Saban replacement is will be in a no win situation. Rees would appreciate Saban's mentorship and it would help stave off more recruiting losses imo. The second replacement of Saban is where they might get a coach with staying power. That fan base is going to dump on the first guy when he inevitably doesn’t make them happy.

and keeping the new hire from in-house dampens the impact on recruiting and personnel and the entire program. Rees would be my choice as well and then over the next couple of years let the slow movement begin and Bama stays in the Natty mix. If not Rees, I go with DeBoer, a winner! Just stay away from Dabo.

That man graduated, played, coached, and was part of a championship team there. There is no doubt he wanted Bama to be successful except when it came to playing Clemson.
Just shameful. Most of those kids probably don’t even know that. Dabo currently has the most playoff appearances and wins for an active coach. He’s the only coach to have a winning record vs Saban in title games.
If he’s not good enough for them, nobody will be.

We have quite a few family and friends that are Alabama grads and fans. To a person they respect, like and are proud of Dabo. On the other hand, none of them are pushing for Dabo. I believe they recognize NIL and transfer portal are key and Dabo continues to resist. I am proud of Dabo and hope he does not go, but I do hope he moderates on transfers and the NIL. Neither Dabo or Saban would get in a "bidding" for a player via NIL>

I doubt that the anti-Dabo movement in Tuscaloosa has anything to do with previous Clemson v. Bama CFP games and everything to do with Dabo's transfer portal philosophy. For that matter, I'd guess that Saban's retirement decision has quite a bit to do with the portal and NIL. He was pretty vocal about how it would ultimately be the destruction of college football and he realized that competing for national championships year in and year out would only get tougher, even for him. 72 years old isn't a youngster but I'm pretty sure that Nick has plenty of energy left in the tank, if he wanted to keep coaching. Dabo is trying his best to avoid the transfer portal and the Bama fan base is savvy enough to know that their next head coach needs to embrace the portal wholeheartedly. Hence, "anyone but Dabo". Good news for us really. Slowly but surely, I believe Dabo will integrate the transfer portal into Clemson's program.

How Deon Sanders even gets mentioned as a possible replacement blows my mind. The Alabama program is about winning not showboating. How many college lever games has he coached and what is his record? A quick web search showed that his record is 27 and 7. Does Bama really want a coach that lost 25% of his games and only has 34 games under his belt as a head coach? I think not. After all the hype about his recruits and massive use of the portal he went 4-8 this season and got destroyed by any team of substance.

It's really just classic projection, they have already been denied by Lanning, Sark and Kirby, this is a pre emptive strike before Dabo can REJECT them too, get used to it tide fans you dont rule college football anymore.
