I'm going to agree with the bammer lb. I believe that UGA was a tougher game for them. They were actually IN that game and had a chance to win(yes, I know they won). We had them buttwhooped halfway through the second qtr. They gave up in the 3rd. So...yes.. UGA was much tougher............ Oh wait, he said Uga was a better team. Nope, can't explain that one

Clemson beat Alabama by 28
Alabama beat Georgia by 7
Alabama lost to Clemson by 28
Alabama player claims Georgia was a tougher opponent than Clemson, a team that out-performed Georgia in mutual games against Alabama by 35 points. This apparently checks out with Finebaum.
In response to this petty remark by the Alabama player, a Clemson player then claims that Notre Dame was a tougher opponent than Alabama. Clemson beat both by pretty much equal 4 TD margins, but since it's very close one could at least call this a reasonable claim, especially considering the Clemson player was an offensive lineman and the Notre Dame defense irrefutably provided Clemson a stiffer challenge than it's Alabama counterpart. Finebaum loses his mind and insults John Simpson and the Clemson program on national TV.

Let's throw a little more context onto this....his statement is more defensible than the Alabama player's is.
Considering it is an offensive player saying it, Bama allowed Clemson 31 points by haldtime, vs ND only allowing 23 in the same period. Second half, ND only allowed CU's Offense 7 points on the scoreboard, while Bama allowed 13 (keeping in mind, Clemson could have scored again when they held the ball the last 10 minutes). So from an offensive player's standpoint, ND DID in fact play Clemson better than Alabama as far as the scoreboard is concerned.

I’ve tried to warn people about giving that fool any attention back in late January when he was complimenting Clemson and asking if they had surpassed Alabama. He was reeling you in only to ###### his praise away later. He’s a tiny, little ugly human both inside and out who never played the game and latched on to Alabama in the early 1980s. He believes there are only 6 or 7 legitimate programs and those are all of the blue bloods dating back to the 1950s. He is no expert and the only power he has is that which you give him by quoting or discussing anything he says. His acceptance of Clemson is not needed to validate the program. Please please please stop feeding the toad.

Do know...BAMA fans are generally not the issue. With the exception of a few crazed fans which EVERY team in the country has, its been my experience that the their fanbase (some who are friends of mine) have been quite gracious to Clemson and have totally given us credit and have displayed class since the game. Actually, its been my experience that these two fanbases, for the most part, get along quite well despite being pitted against each other in major games.
Finebaum keeps speaking of our fanbase not knowing how to win. No Paul....not only do you know that's patently false, but that comment is beyond...how did you put it...."stupid." THE ISSUE is you have a coach, team and local media(including you) that is facing a MAJOR conundrum: how to not only deal with a loss to a ACC team when you labeled Bama potentially the greatest ever, but how to mentally accept the lopsided the final score when Bama has recruited better and is lead by the GOAT coach. Dabo said it perfectly yesterday......you can't have it both ways. Game, set, match.
Make no mistake, this all started at halftime with Saban's "copycat" comments and have since morphed into players not being focused, to CLEM having an easier path...to now former coaches not being focused. Instead of being professional, giving CLEM full credit, Clemson's convincing win has set up permanent residence inside Saban/team/Paul's/local media's mind...while Dabo/team hasn't even muttered a word until yesterday when responding to the Dylan Moses' comment.
When you go from "copycat," to throwing your team under the bus, to saying Clemson has an easier path, to then to throwing your formers coaches under the bus....the issue isn't the Clemson fanbase. When you go from they didn't do anything and it was all about what we didn't do....to being grateful and glad that you lost....the issue isn't the Clemson fanbase. At the end of the day, you do what Clemson did at the end of the Sugar Bowl, tip you hat to the other team and state the obvious...the other team was simply better. On the contrary Paul, Clemson's fanbase is JUST FINE..Saban, a few of his players and you/local media have the issue. I suggest you wise up and learn to deal with it.

You’re exactly right. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be aware of any of his comments over the past few months of it weren’t for TNet. I watch/listen to a lot of ESPN, and don’t have a problem with them as a network like many here do. However, I don’t watch the SEC Network unless there’s a game on during football season. It’s the SEC Network, why would people expect unbiased analysis there?

In order for me to consider his comments to be "unprofessional", I would have to consider the source and then determine whether the source was ever "professional". Lets look at the source. Finebaum is opinionated, biased, lacks professional knowledge or skill, has never coached, refuses to look at facts and "yes, your honor, this man has no ####". In other words, he is an entertainer. IMO ND was the harder game. A tough defense is always more difficult. Their defense was much better than Bamas. Both Nd and bama failed horribly on one side of the ball. Nds defense was good. Bamas offense was ok. They looked great but you dont win games on yards alone.

ND isn’t in the same class as Bama and Georgia. Georgia beat ND by 1 whole point in 2017 and Georgia went on to get destroyed in overtime against Bama later that year.

Two different years and even in 2017, you are only talking about a 1 point difference in regulation. I don't think that Notre Dame was a better team, but I do think they played us a tougher game. Most of Alabama gave up when the CB got torched by Ross and laid down and faked an injury. At least ND was still putting up a fight through the second half.

His comments were out of line even if the Alabama player had never said anything. A player has an opinion on which game was tougher between two teams that his team beat by similar margins, and somehow that means the Clemson football program lacks class and doesn’t know how to handle winning?

Permit me a few observations here re:PF and the BAMA (take your pick) players.
This doesn't take over analyzation. These statements are perfectly in line w/the playground bully in grammar (not primary...showing my age here) school. They're all bluster and happy as the top pachyderm until someone takes them down a few notches. (Or in this case 28) Now they have to rationalize what happened. As time further removes them from the reality of the situation they circle the wagons and start to convince themselves that they were just having a bad day. Their shoe laces were untied. If they'd just done this/that the outcome would have been so different. We know we are the lord and master of the playground so there cannot possibly be any usurpers that are worthy to challenge us.
But when all the words (excuses) have been said, when the day is done and they must lay down their heads, as they close their eyes, They REMEMBER! THEY REMEMBER THE FEATS OF THE OPPONENT. THEY WERE THERE! THEY REMEMBER THE FUTILITY OF THEIR EFFORTS! THEY REMEMBER THE AGONY! So they steel themselves for another day and prepare another false narrative. But DOWN DEEP THEY KNOW THE TRUTH! So they try to sleep without the bad dreams and seeing it all over again.

I watched both games & I have both game videos.
It appeared to me the ND game was tougher.
I've watch the Bama game at least 20 times cause it was more fun from a Tiger fan's perspective.
But who cares what I think.
Simpson played the game, Finebaum didn't.
Please don't tell someone that what they experienced, didn't happen.
