Renfrow should have atleast been on the honorable mention list with his number of playoff TD catches and game changing tackle of the Bama defender on the potential scoop and score.

Whether it was missed on the first scan or ESPN edited it in later, Renfrow was indeed honorable mention. Now updated in the story.

Are these players and teams ranked based on all games or just what they did in the Playoffs? If all games (regular season, bowls, playoffs, etc), then ok maybe…. If what they did in the Playoffs is all that matters, then no way DW4 isn’t #1 and how would you keep at minimum Renfrow off the list as a first teamer…. Too many times these rankings put too much weight on regular season stats against the Sisters of the Poor and not how individuals perform in big games and championship environments (ie, Lamar Jackson).

From ESPN's description of the team makeup...pretty ambiguous: "Our goal is to not just identify the players who won the most or posted the best stats or had the most highlights. Even that would've been difficult. But rather, this list is meant to include all those metrics and also something more ephemeral -- to reward the players whose performances were so essential to the fabric of college football over the past 10 years, that the story of the four-team playoff era couldn't be told without them."

The description says the All Playoff Team so to me that meant players that excelled in the actual playoff games only. That would make sense to close the book now given the 4 team format is now over. That additional description from ESPN really should not have surprised me. Complete BS verbiage probably written by some communications supervisor with little to no knowledge of football.

Yea, those Jonathan Taylor Wisconsin teams really "tell the story of the four-team playoff era" and were "essential to the fabric of college football"
*eye roll
Playoff appearances and performances should mean something when discussing the "All-Playoff team"

At our best with the young talent that will play, and with most of our veterans coming back this season healthier than they've been in the past, what is your best expectations of our FB team entering the 2024 season.
Personally, I believe the 2024 team will play in the national championship game, and if we don't make it that far, I do see us as One of the last 4 teams still playing at that time....
Also, when do you think that Christian Bentancur will be joining the team???

I know Burrows was good for 1 year but Trevor was in the playoffs 3 years and won 3 games. If not for a bad offensive pass interference call may have beat the LSU team.

Hunter Renfrow an honorable mention?!?!?!?!?
That's the biggest head scratcher I've seen in a while.
Renfrow torched bama twice and was one of the biggest factors of us winning two titles.
