Yeah, but we'd better not assume that Fla. State, with all of their five stars, are shaking in their boots.I sense some over-confidence,and nothing will get you beat faster than that.

For those of you not paying attention, and with all due respect to Danny, Dabo has now passed him in the hearts of longtime Clemson fans. If Dabo continues to make Clemson his career choice, he'll be standing on the pedestal along side Frank Howard as Clemson's Legends by the time he's done.

i certainly hope he doesnt go but that would be the only place due to his ties to the state and the team. but he is a wise man and he has for sure taken note of people who had everything where they were and proceeded to take major setbacks in their careers (although not with money). i just hopes cu will match the $ they throw at him because the day will come when they come calling.

For all his faults, he brought us Dabo. I dont know where we would be now without him, but it wouldnt be anywhere near where we are. Not just from a wins and losses stand point but from a larger program and culture standpoint.

It’s funny. The two greatest things he gets credit for the WEZ project and hiring Dabo have nothing to do with his ability to coach a respectable product to put on the field. I’ll admit that it was much better than the West years but man we really played down to a lot of inferior opponents during his tenure.

I'm so tired of hearing this ad nauseum.

With this logic, we should also say:
"We should all thank Dabo's mom and dad every day for conceiving him." "We should all thank Gene Stallings every day for giving Dabo a football scholarship." "We should all thank Thomas Clemson every day for starting a university." "We should all thank Walter Camp every day for inventing American football."
Where does the logic end?!?
If anything, we should be thanking Terry Don Phillips for giving Dabo the opportunity to be interim coach, despite conventional wisdom suggesting that he should not. Moreover, we should thank Terry Don for hiring Dabo as the head football coach, when everyone in the world thought it was a bad idea and one that could've easily backfired.
Tommy Bowden gets way too much credit for simply recommending - at his dismissal meeting - that Dabo be the interim coach. It's not like Dabo stepped aside to give Dabo a chance, or paid part of Dabo's salary, or recommended Dabo as permanent head coach. Some of you act like Dabo being a head coach was a new idea which came solely from Tommy Bowden, when Terry Don had obviously thought about it prior to that day.
I thank Terry Don for seeing the potential in Dabo, and I thank Dabo himself for being awesome when given the chance to shine.

Why so bitter man? Yea, he didn’t win enough and didn’t seem to be a great motivator.
But, he didn’t resign to go to a different school, leaving us hanging. He didn’t have a major scandal which brought negative publicity to Clemson. When it was obvious he needed to go, he left gracefully and actually had a goodbye press conference. He didn’t have to do that.
Read Dabo’s message. Take it to heart. It’s not all about just the wins. Bowden is a good man and we should show him some grace. What good does it serve to be so negative about the man who brought Dabo to Clemson?

I think that Dabo's best attributes is his leadership skills, and that is bc he is able to think beyond a day or a week, he see's what he wants months ahead, and that allows him to make or change plans that allows smooth sailing to his goals. And he is one of those that can do that better than most!!!

Swinney is simply an inspiration OFF the football field.
I've said it before, CDS is a TREASURE to Clemson University.
When Bama comes callin', I'm hoping we find a way to keep him.

I think it was the Russell Bowl trip when we saw pictures of the Swinney family visiting a theme park, and Dabo was wearing a shirt with an outline of the state of SC and the word "home." Right then I quit worrying that he might want to go back to Bama. This is where his kids have grown up and Clemson is their home.

What is Bama" going to come calling with? Ridiculous. Dabo is one of the highest paid college coaches in the country----beautiful home, best facilities in the counry. Best stadium. Hello out there, the allure of Alabama is over.

Alabama came calling he wouldn't be negotiating for more money for himself.
He would stay if Clemson would donate X amount $$$ for cancer research. He would stay if Clemson would donate X amount $$$ for Habitat for Humanity. He would stay if Clemson would donate X amount $$$ for Salvation Army.
He is the guy that wants to use what God gave him to make the world a better place. (And of course he would take the amazing raise)
