I've seen this so many times in the Bigs, relief pitcher pitching great, bottom of the 9th, take him out and bring in the "closer"! That's what happened last nigh, Mahlstedt pitched 4 inning, 2 hits, no runs, but we take him out, bring in the "closer" to pitch the 9th, and bam, walk-0ff, game over. Love our coach, but this was a poor coaching decision, IMO.

IMHO, Mahlstedt should have pitched

the 9th inning. Also, after Hughes walked the first batter, a lefty reliever should have been brought in to pitch to Scanlon.
What was the deal with Scanlan taking off his shirts?
