I don't know why anybody is shocked by this. Love the guy and hope he gets a shot, but Carolina has 3 young WRs that they want to get going as a nucleus for Bryce for the next several years and they already have Adam Thielen and David Moore as the older vets, and Bryce already has a connection with both. I know he had health and usage issues with the Raiders, but Renfrow hasn't played since 2023 and hasn't played at a high level since 2021 and will turn 30 near the end of the season. Best case scenario, he was going to be the 5th or 6th WR on the team.
Now if Carolina turns around and trades Thielen to Minnesota after this anyway, that will be a legit shocker.

I seriously doubt they make that move now. Vikings wanted him so that they had a fill-in while Addison was suspended, but they weren't willing to give up much of anything. Carolina has no reason to trade him unless they get something good in return because he currently fills a very useful role for them. And it's not like Minnesota with JJ McCarthy is challenging for a ring this year anyway.

Did anyone expect anything different? I actually thought Hunter might be the one to hang on. I think theyve had 2 guys from clemson on their regular season roster, ever. That franchise is and has pretty much always been a laughing stock when it comes to talent evaluation and development. Nearly everyone that has been relevant has #1 come from another franchise #2 if drafted; used, abused and gone the way of the dodo #3 left for greener pastures as soon as possible.
If he doesnt get picked up off waivers (which I find unlikely because he is a known commodity) I hope Dabo brings him on. If he is afforded the opportunity, our WR room will be better for it. Let him work the finer points of technique like release, routes, breaks and timing.
Coaching is in his blood. He would be invaluable to our WR development.

need from him. There were two guys they kept over him more than likely won't ever be anything usable. But they are younger, that would be the only upside to them. They have hardly any NFL experience and Hunter was an All Pro that would be a great safety valve for a Young qB. Its just judging the book by its cover is all this is.. and that is the Carolina Panthers in a nutshell. No doubt in my mind that he would have ended up starting every game by probably game 3.

so I pulled for the Falcons from an early age. When the Panthers came, I casually followed them and did not hate them like most Falcons fans. I moved to Lake Norman just north of Charlotte and became somewhat of a fan except when they played Atlanta. However, the continuous snubbing of Clemson players eventually got on my nerves because they would draft players worse than an available Clemson player at the same position. Now I live in Atlanta, most of the Cheerleaders come to my wife's hot yoga studio which has made me more of a Falcons loyalist (do not get it wrong, I see them like they are my daughters), and that has caused me to become more anti-Panthers. But this, this does not make sense at all. I hope they lose every single game. Trash organization, and they also treat their cheerleaders like crap, terrible organization all the way around.
