and should use already established channels (appeal process I assume) to voice concerns or to challenge decisions.
UNC and it's coach should stop airing complaints in public as it does no good and creates an unhealthy environment.
AKA UNC SHUT TF UP AND FOLLOW PROCEDURES.

But UNC has learned that they don’t have to follow the rules and the NCAA taught them that several years ago.

In plain English - If you don’t like what the NCAA says or does, you are agreeing in advance to say nothing publicly, come talk to us in private, where we can continue to ignore whatever it is that you have to say. This policy saves us embarrassment, with the added bonus that we don’t have to be responsible to our members.

I don't know if UNC is trying to cheat or not, however if past policies are considered, you would think that they are most probably trying to cheat.

I'm sure they paid good money for that WR. Wonder how his transfer getting denied impacts that?

I really thought transfers were just automatically approved or didn't require approval.
How do you have hundreds of players switching teams if there is a chance they will be denied approval?

The WR for UNC Tez transferred twice, when you transfer for the second time they have more rules/restrictions on those players that require approval from the NCAA.

Right…because they’re so concerned for the mental health of the student athlete…especially if he/she may have to forego a big pro contract

He transfered the first time when the school canceled football

For the season. It is absolutely ridiculous to count that as a transfer. He literally had no option if he wanted to continue being a student ATHLETE.

This. I'm all for ######## on UNC, but the FCS program this particular player was initially enrolled cancelled the entire season during covid. I'm not sure why they would count that, other than to be unreasonable and nonsensical in their decisions. Which, of course, is par for the course for the NCAA.

I have no love for any ACC NC school. But, even less love for the NCAA. So, any heat put on them by anyone is fine with me.

The NCAA doesn't like to be called-out publicly when their competency is questioned.
As if the vast majority of people don't already know how contemptable and nefarious the NCAA really is.

You created it when you let them off the first time for having fake classes when it should have been death penalty or minimum 3 years probation, not to mention them possibly losing accreditation. Why would they have any respect for you when they lawyered up the first time and punked you.

This kid went to a school where they cancelled the season his freshman year due to Covid so he transferred having never played a down. He then went to another school for two years and then to UNC. They have made so many exceptions due to Covid with some guys playing 7-8 years but this guy can’t play because this is his second transfer so he has to sit out a year. The NCAA and how and when they apply the rules is a joke.

Totally agree that this is indeed a special case and involved covid and should be counted as his first transfer. NCAA sucks at "helping" student athletes be successful or healthy.

Agreed. The NCAA decides to make a stand on this situation? Mind boggling as to not being able to read the fn room. Sheesh!

The NCAA is too liberal an organization and will find themselves with no schools to govern in the near future. Mud on their face, big disgrace. I don’t believe anything they say regarding these supposed threats….who did they serve warrants for?
