I'm totally with ya Pig, and IMO we haven't seen anything that resembles that since Dabo hired Streeter and Goodwin to take over for Brent Venables and Tony Elliott.
Tony Elliot wasn't near the elite coach that Venables was but, Tony Elliot and Jeff Scott together planning and running the offense was a pretty good pair for the job!!!
Also, with Dabo replacing Jeff Scott when he left after the 2019 season with the With-In hire of Tyler Grisham and that put the first crack in our offense. I could be wrong, but I don't think so, but I'm pretty sure we haven't had a receiver drafted in the 1st or 2nd round that has been coached by Grisham.
I'm a believer in giving credit when credit is due, and I think that Grisham could be getting a little better at coaching our WR's, plus I think he's doing better with recruiting and signing better WR's like Williams, Wesco, and Moore. IMPO Grisham could become a pretty good WR coach with a few more years of experience, and I think he is already the better With-In hires that Dabo's made since Scott left, but it has been a tough 3 or 4 years for him since he was hired as our WR coach.

I think all can agree with the opinion of our offense.
As far as the defense goes , it's a bigger question mark
and a leap of sorts to rank them this high so prematurely.
Yes , we have pieces that inspire confidence.
They're essentially saying Allen is a homerun hire
before the first snap of the ball.
I can't get there yet.
I do believe we can get there but initially but I'm uncertain we can maintain
that level of performance the entirety of the season.
If we address our lack of depth on that side of the ball before
the season I could revisit my position

Not so much so when looking at the experience and the success that Tom Allen has had over his career as a defensive coach. The only question that I would have about Allen is, will he be a DC that can excite players when he's teaching them at practice and in the games anything close to the way that BV could and did do while he was at Clemson...

I agree. The offense is going to be hard to stop. Lots of big plays from our qb/wr and rookie RB and EZ will be a great running back tandem. If we can work in the TE across the middle lights out. Our defense will be amazing with Allen as our DC
