I’d love to know why he’s been out on the recruiting trail with other Clemson coaches over the last week then. Even one recruit asked him if the rumors were true and BV said “He’s commited to Clemson”. Doesn’t make a whole lotta sense. I appreciate everything he’s done at Clemson but if you’re gonna leave just rip the bandaid off already. ??

My thought exactly. Supposedly, he was telling these kids to come to Clemson, and a few days later...he's leaving???? And didn't the OU fans and Stoops give CBV a tough time in 2012? Is it only about more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$? He's got to know that OU football may be headed into some rough waters in a couple of years. SEC looms.

Until he resigns/signs a contract, he works for Clemson. OU was prob taking to a couple diff folks. As far as him saying he was telling recruits this week that he was committed to Clemson: 1) you can’t speculate on when or what offer may be made - you have to with status in the moment 2) that’s not what I read he tod recruits. What I read is that he told them when asked is that their commitment is to The Paw not the coach which is exactly what they should be saying

My guess... maybe a 100MM ten-year contract with a HUGE buy-out clause? Anyway, he grew up and played in that part of the country and coached at OU for what, 12 yrs? To come to Clemson from OU in the first place was a bigger transition than going back there is now (except for maybe 2 National Championships on his resume!)
Dabo hired BV and he'll do it again and hire/promote the best. I believe in Clemson, my alma mater where the Blue ridge yawns its greatness!
