I'm sad that I'm not remembering the building names. To many of us it was just the chemestry building or the math or english building. Shoe boxes were 9-13. For some reason I never had any trouble with Long Hall and I only had one class there - Speedy Boyd for Rural Sociology. He covered 5 chapters in 12 weeks and the final 9 in 2 weeks. Book was printed the year I was born. He was one of those interesting profs we had before all the PhD's took over. Not unlike the more famous Frosty Bauknight(?).

and dad were made Full Professors at the same time. They were probably the last two teachers to ever be promoted to Full Professors without a PhD.

in latter-half of 1953 in the digital archives, so this one is in a tight window indeed between Brackett completion and old powerhouse demo. They also have three photos taken in succession when that stack is demolished. Two nice ones on the way down and then a third with a monster dust cloud in the air.

Yep, I lived in 3, 1, 1, & 2 in that order. Why does the smokestack look like it leaning?

Thanks for the photos! The overhead shot is blurry on the right side. I couldn’t get it to clear up, must have had a smudge on the lenses. Maybe the drone was shaking when it was taken...lol that shot was a major deal then and now you just google earth or put a drone up in the air. We are so spoiled. I’d love to see this one in color.
