I wouldn't stoop so low as to use the quote from a lowly coot qb who just got punked by a better team. We fell short on the scoreboard, and in the end, that's what counts. We played winning football much of the day, but not all day, and that cost us. We cannot let up This team is not strong enough, yet, to overcome deficiencies. Maybe it'll come, but we are not there yet. Cade must do better. Receivers must do better, and we need better defense, too. A work in progress, but not a finished product we all want, yet. Hope we get there.

The receiver who happened to catch the final pass had been held in check all day by our safety, until our safety got injured. The new defender just wasn't up to the task on the last play. I was more disappointed in our final plays than I was impressed by fsu. For the # 2 0r 3 ranked team to have to hang on for dear life against an unranked isn't something to crow loudly about.

And I thought this young man was a "competitor". Since when does a defense have to play the way you as QB want them to? He should have welcomed and "respected" the challenge, and apparently needs to go and listen to a Morris Albert song, "Feelings". The NFL will have to straighten him out, I guess, if he thinks defenses will just adjust to his "Feelings". The young man has a lot to learn. Our defensive players were up to the challenge and played really well on any one-on-one balls. Travis may be eating some humble pie by season's end, with this sort of mindset. Probably 'Bama is one team that could hand him a slice.
