I feel the players need to no longer use the word “committed” on their announcements. “Employed” or “Hired” may be better choices after the current court cases are decided. Nothing personal against this player because I wish him the best. Just an observation from his announcement.

Well add to that the word "committed" doesn't actually mean anything either...

One has to wonder what the word committed actually means these days. Does the mean for a few days? A week? A month? or is it to be interpretted like commiting a crime? It's certainly not in the traditional meaning like being commited to a marriage.

The Buffs OL is arguably worse than Clemson, so he may crack the starting lineup

Wanna be contender vs Sure thing pretender

Hmm … seemed like, going into Spring practice, Z.Owens was getting a lot of high profile snaps.
Was the post-Spring grade for him not giving him a sense of optimism that meaningful PT was in store for him in 2024 season?
Our next strongest OL need was (and still is) at OT. (Center is our strongest need; Z.Owens was not a contender to play C.) If Z.Owens was not looking to crack the first or second team at OT this year, I can see that we won’t be devastated by his departure.
2025 signing class looks promising for high quality OT’s. 2024 was the year for Z.Owens to establish himself as either a contender or take the easy way and be a pretender.
Coach Prime has already established his program at U of Colorado as a pretender.
So there’s that.

I think he played the game and most likely won. Probably was not going to be NFL material so why not grab a payday now and set up life after football.
That’s what the NIL has done. No longer do we have STUDENT athletes. But we have athletes for hire.
Hold firm Dabo. Use the portal if necessary but remember the purpose is to educate, develop and release. Bring in freshmen and send out men ready to contribute and be leaders.

Wish him nothing but the best, but playing above mile high is going to make his fatigue worse. At least on road games he will be well-conditioned with all the additional red blood cells he'll have in his circulatory system.
If conditioning was a problem at Clemson, its going to be a huge problem in Boulder.

He’ll play sooner than he should unfortunately.. Their OL situation is dire …
He needs another year to be physically prepared to play ..

Tigernet, you are single-handedly dismantling Clemson’s brand when it comes to elite African American players. Screenshot this so we can talk about it in 3-4 years.

I read the article and re-read it again after your comment. Other than his picture and knowing our team I would have had no indication what race Owens was so just what did Tigernet do or say to offend AA Student Atheletes?

Food costs will reduce significantly. Another good reason to buy Clemson stock.

Hope this works out for him, Sanders is ruthless (except his kids) so he could easily be back on the move again next year no better for the move.

This is starting to sound like that someone who was once connected to Clemson is now talking with our players about heading up there. If this is the case, they should be beat with a knotted plow line, or a hickory AX handle!!!
