Congrats on the new job! Dabo definitely helped him earn it-that will always be there.

HOOK EM gets credit. Not Clemson. It was clear in his exit interview on why he left and as the dust settled. he made the right choice.

He did want to come home for a year and that’s the biggest thing. By all accounts he’s a good guy so even if he finished at Texas he was still a Tiger for 3 years, too.

As much as I love Clemson University, props to Mukuba for career decision

Like a Clemson student pursuing Med School entry who decides to transfer as an undergrad, Mukuba read the room and saw the DC was not performing the job. This was the exact diagnosis that Dabo Swinney made one year later.
Mukuba started 31 games for Clemson, then left to prepare for the NFL.

This is a solid take on a 'benefit' of the portal.
I hate that we lost Mukuba, and I hate to think our DC was the reason why, but there does seem to be some practicality to his decision making (as well as multiple factors).

That pretty much would encompass us all. I hate nil, but if you had someone, from another company, offer you same job, at a higher pay rate, there would have to be some serious side issues going on not to take it
