I am not a Clemson graduate , However, I have family members that are and most importantly my daughter just graduated with her Nursing degree in December. Coming out of HS she was accepted early to Clemson as well as SC. I can assure you every step of the way she was Clemson bound and was told by most all of her guidance counselors etc that SC would be a shoe in due to her grades , GPA etc. I know plenty of kids that flat out couldn’t get in Clemson period. For Finebaum to make this statement is insulting and flat out ignorant. He needs to do his homework before he spouts such incorrect information. GO TIGERS 🐅

Congrats on your daughter in the nursing program. Mine entered in 2018, when they accepted maybe 20 a year. Her gpa was 4.528 and she was the last one let in. She actually didn’t make the cut and was headed for health sciences then one student dropped out.

Why would the SEC want anyone that wouldn’t increase the payout per team? Doubt UNC or UVA move that needle. And in that vain, why would the Alabama’s and Texas’ of the SEC want to continue to subsidize current SEC teams like Vandy, Missouri, etc in the long term? The Yankees don’t pay the bills of Tampa Bay as an example……. This ain’t a charity anymore.

He is a hack. It is the off-season and he has a TV / radio show all about football, on the SEC network. I still can't understand how Clemson fans, and Clemson media, allow for this guy to get under everyone's skin. He is just trying to get a reaction and get people to call in and get things posted on social media to make himself relevant. If the Clemson fan base, Clemson media, would ignore the guy and never respond to him anymore, he will stop. He will have to find another group to attack. Who cares what this guy says or thinks. He said that about scar simply because they have a medical school and law degrees. Sadly most people would probably say that. Either way it has nothing to do with the topic.
As for unc and uva, it's the ad space and TV market. It would be the same thing that happened in south carolina. When the coots joined the sec, it essentially forced the channels and affiliates to carry sec propaganda.
Anyway, nothing new but we shouldn't post his comments on T-Net. But T-Net realized it drives clicks.
As for pate, they're completely different. Pate is very supportive of Clemson. As Clemson fans, and fans of T-Net, we should thank pate for giving the site a plug. It does drive traffic to the site and that's a good thing.

As for the UNC/UVA thing...only thing they bring is trying to get carriage fees for SECN (& have to believe NC is a partial gain b/c pretty sure fair # of cable/satellite providers in NC offer SECN due to overlap across state lines w/ Charlotte & GSP markets). UNC/UVA add nothing in FB, have been diminished in basketball since their respective titles in '17 & '19.
UNC & UVA do have the arguments of more overall athletic department success - but large chunk of their titles are in sports that nobody in SEC-Land cares about (Sankey ain't getting his jollies off on UNC's lacrosse/field hockey titles or UVA's lacrosse titles)

Fineback is such a F _ _ _ ####. Clemson in the last academic ranking of national universities by US News and World Reports ranked #80. South Carolina Ranked at #121.
Clemson is nationally competetive in almost every sport it desires to be competetive in and has won titles in men's golf, soccer and football.
Clemson is currently ranked between 8 and 15 preseason in baseball depending on what poll you read.
Our basketball is #10 nationally and 2nd in the ACC behind#1 Duke.
And Finebaum wants to say Clemson is too weak and has nothing to offer the SEC or Big10?
At best he could argue that we don't fit the SEC because of local market saturization, but even that is a weak argument.
The only way this guy stays in the media is by being profoundly wrong most of the time.
