We are giving Dabo 8 more years to figure it out. Any one, especially these Esec shills, who think Clemson is getting rid of the GOAT Clemson coach are crazy as hale. He "aint" going anywhere. Thank goodness.

We didn't win Natty's by listening to fans bitching and we're certainly not going to fire Dabo from listening to fans.
He's earned the right. I'm as frustrated as anyone but we did NOT get to where we are by listening to fans....

Grish has shown results in recruiting, so we could always keep him on and have him focus all his attention there. As for the WR corps, my personal observation is that we need more tangible results both on-the-field and in player-development. We've got some really great WR's that with the right touch could be exponentially more talented. Is that Jeff Scott? Maybe. Didn't hurt last time.

I think the majority of the Clemson fans care about reality. We want championships. His way will not produce that anymore, sadly.
I wish more people could separate Clemson from Dabo. Clemson was here before Dabo and will be here after he moves on.
Many here are bigger fans of the coach than they are their own school.

Dabo fans love his “aw shucks” personality and all he has to do is quote some Bible verses, remind everyone how he won 2 Nattys, and will go somewhere else if he’s not appreciated, and they eat it up. They cannot separate Dabo from Clemson University, which is alarming. As a fan base, thanks to Dabo, we’re now divided into those who will allow him to drive the program off the cliff, and those who want him to adapt, make necessary changes or even leave, if he refuses to do so for the better of Clemson Football.

Joey is my new favorite pundit. Finebaum is still an ####.
Maybe other schools are not approaching Dabo because he is not interested and maybe his buyout is too high. Dabo IS Clemson! Dabo created a great culture at Clemson.

You're an idiot. No one has said they want Dabo. Go to any fan forum and find where they want to try to poach him. None. We are paying top 3 money for a coach who can only achieve mediocre results in the current CFB landscape. It's an embarrassment, and idiots like you who live 8 years in the past are the reason for it.

Ouch. Imagine after the 2018 season there would be a world where Bama wouldn’t even consider Dabo as the next man up. Makes you wonder just how stubborn he is and what they know that we don’t.

You are right that Dabo’s star has dimmed considerably and we could achieve the same mediocrity for a whole lot less than we are paying the current staff. That being said, I think this is the year that Dabo finally cleans house and gets with the program. Grisham, Goodwin, and the best RB in school history are probably gone after this season. And all the hangers-on in Jervey better dust off their resumes.

Well we all know Paul finebald that has never coached anything but maybe peewee knows it all lol and we all know how much he hates clemson. I want everyone that has bad things to say to go back and look we held our on until the 3rd quarter against Georgia and they say we got blown away Well also go look at some of these teams that took up to 10 or even more players from the portal that's in the top 25 or even the top 10 some only won by a touchdown against a g5 and some a fcs school but as usual clemson and Dabo or the catch all I hope we win out take the acc and meet UGA in the championship to shut up all these people.

We have been declining for 6 years. We’ve failed to meet preseason expectations for the last three years. Dabo has had several years to “figure it out.” He is failing so far.
Oh, excuse me, Dabo said he has never failed at anything in his life.

You are right. But does a Clemson depend on basketball to pay the bills? I’m not so sure they do, at all.
There isn’t anything to figure out. We all know what the problems are. It’s all self inflicted.

Brownell’s teams almost always exceeds preseason expectations. His teams play hard, are well coached, and punch above their weight class.
And our basketball program does this without the advantages our football program has.
Guess what? Our basketball coaches embrace the transfer portal and NIL, because that’s how you excel in major college sports today.

Adding to JK’s points above:
Since COVID, in the modern NIL and transfer portal era, one program has positive energy and is on the rise while one is in a significant downward spiral. If you look at this era, this snapshot in time, Brownell is doing a much better job than Swinney. No questions about it.
In the modern NIL and transfer portal, Coach Swinney may not even be in the top 5 coaches on Clemson’s campus. Wild to say, but true.

after 14 years of misery. Wait, maybe it was the pep bands fault.
There are issues with the football team that definitely need to be fixed, and I think that Dabo can get it fixed. He’s won more national championships and acc conference championships than any coach that we’ve ever had.

Can we wait until basketball season to extoll Brownell's coaching prowess? The team caught fire in the NCAA tournament and it was a very nice run, no doubt, but what about that BC game, what happened there?
How many regular season ACC championships has Brownell won?
How many ACC tournament championships has Brownell won?
How many Final Four appearances has Brownell had?
How many National Championship appearances has Brownell had and how many National Championships has Brownell won?
Dabo has accomplished far more than Brownell has come close to. The situation was not that rosy when Dabo took over.
I'll grant you Dabo is not adapting to the brave new world of the portal and Clemson can't compete in the NIL world, but get back to me when Brownell has won something.
This is football season. November will be here soon enough and I'll be in Littlejohn pulling for Brownell and the team.

Let’s remember. Dabo won a conference championship the season before last. Brad can’t say that. The elite 8 was awesome and Brad deserves all the credit. Clemson just had their first sub 10 win season in 10 years. I am fed up with this football team and something has to change but you acting like Brad is above Dabo is laughable. And I have come to like Brad.

Season before last we won an ACC Championship and were one win away from a Final Four appearance. It took Dabo changing out QB's to produce that ACC trophy, and at season's end he made a change at OC and QB coach that most believed was a major step forward.
Game One, while big and disappointing, was not the biggest game of the season by far. Those mostly happen at season's end, which we are a long way from.

LOL! Fierce loyalty in the face of evidence is stubbornness. He’s also egotistical and gaslights Clemson fans every chance he gets. I’m sure sometime this week we will get a rant about what true fans really look like or something.

Because he's the only head I've heard say:
1. Dabo Swinney would be welcome in ALOT of places. 2. Georgia's really, really, really, really flippin' good.
It's not like Clemson played Old Dominion Saturday. Yes, they have some things to work on and yes, some of those things are concerning.

I agree 100% with Joey Galloway ! I always liked his perspective on College football. Dabo has WON 2 National Championship games for Clemson University and he has earned our loyalty and respect. He knows the game has changed and he will figure it out as Joey Galloway said. He is a problem solver and he knows our offense is bad right now but Georgia can make you look bad if you can't control the line of scrimmage.

I’ve defended Dabo for the last couple of lack luster seasons bc……. I liked his demeanor, the way he builds character in the program and seen him solve past problems to build a NC team. I’ve had confidence he can solve this……until now. I’ve lost that confidence. This offense has no imagination like in previous years. And unlike previously when Dabo would admit obvious issues he now gives us “coach” speak. He’s defensive. Not humble. We all appreciate what he’s done. But you can’t live in the past. Like some people do in politics, ignoring the present while living in the past will only lead to further decline. For three years nothing has changed, except players and a few coaches. The system these few seasons is not improving against top competition. I believe it can and will if the head man will come to grips with himself first. I hope he does it soon. Three more seasons to figure this out will be three seasons too long.

I personally like the way Dabo runs this program. What I don’t like is some of the play calling that has happened on offense the previous three now going on four seasons. It’s complacent, predictable, and does not hold a solid defense honest. Run between the tackles for one yard, bubble screen for loss of three yards, and another bubble screen for a gain of two yards will not win football games. The play calling needs to be strategically creative in such a way that highlights the strength of the players on the field. Play calling with this many great players on the roster should create a scenario where the opposing defense has to pick their own poison. Just my lousy opinion for what it’s worth.

How is that portal thing working out for Florida State? Got something like 23 portal transfers two years ago and then lost about 28 after the season. Good cohesion there. Why does no one ever talk about that?
